WOW Starroid.....w/ FTC's LOVE AFFAIR w/ Variants....after Superman & Jimmy Olsen are released this would be an easy add a costume & mask type situation to create these two exclusives! I wouldn't buy them as they are so far from mainstream to me & my boys, but I'm sure some would like them for sure! I think variants are truly what is going to be my final cure-all for being a COMPLETIST! I did not order ANY BATMAN 66 variants/exclusives....which is HUGE for me! Thank GOD they are all coming out at the same time & more expensive per figure.....it's saving me dough left & right....& changing my whole behavioral issue of always NEEDING to Collect the all (& x2 at that!)

Funny when you remember things as a kid (like Nightwing and Flamebird) and they seemed so complex and then you see the designs now and they are quite simple. I think they would make fantastic exclusives or website specials. I dont know what is worse, just collecting what you like, or sticking with one line and getting the variants. I just buy what I like but then end up with a mish-mash of toys with no cohesive thread. With space being limited and disposable income shrinking, I really have to think twice before I buy. Buying something cool just so it can sit in a box under the bed is a bit of a bummer for me.

Well, I am at a loss. Although, I am definitely making a Turtle Boy when Olsen gets released.

If it's not Marva's Super Kal, then it only leaves Connor Kent or Mon-El...? Legion was big in the 70's, so he sort of fits I guess...that would be crazy to start digging into Legion before a Brainiac. Then again, a Kora head with black hair may work.

If it's Superboy Prime than just burn the factory down.

I'm really stunned they didn't just shrink a Zod 12-inch for 8. I guess it's a fabric cost. Easier to keep spooling out the blue and red than flip to black and grey.

I think a good bet would be either Jor-El or Zod; both had 12" figures back in the day, but no 8" version.

Would they do him using the Superman head with a headband? White sideburns? Or a completely new sculpt?

Or could they just mean a Neal Adams version of Superman to go with the Batman and hopefully Wonder Woman???
