DC made a Space Ghost comic series a few years back which I thought would lead to an ongoing series but it never came to pass. I did think Space Ghost was under the Warner banner like DC so maybe the Hanna-Barbera characters can be made, too? That would be great!Comment

I think the Super surprise is Super Friends. FTC has hinted at this before. I am kind of happy, yet sad that wave 3 of Batman 66 is all new unannounced figures, because that means Catwoman, King Tut, Mad Hatter or Mr. Freeze won't be included and these are the 4 figures I was most looking forward to. FTC already announced a Batgirl, Shame and Bookworm too, so that leaves them out as well. So here I feel confused. If wave 3 is all new unannounced it must be very minor characters. I think a wave of all minor characters will hurt sales. Minor characters need to be spread out. The only high hope I have is Green Hornet and Kato. These two could easily carry a wave.Comment

Time Warner owns Hanna-Barbera in addition to DC!
I remember when Cartoon Network could not air the entire Super Friends cartoon series then Time Warner bought Turner who owned Hanna Barbera and Cartoon Network then CN could show ALL SF episodes! WHEW!
FTC has said on Facebook that there will be Super Friends Megos, so I wouldn't doubt more Hanna Barbera cartoons! I want my Blue Falcon and Dynomutt! HB owns Ruby Spears so I hope Thundarr the Barbarian, too!Comment

I think Batman 66 Wave 3 could include Batgirl. On Feb. 1 in the Scott Beatty FTC interview Anthony said Batgirl head had been sculpted, but we still have not seen pics. I believe Mad Hatter and Mr Freeze will NOT be in Wave 3 since we have seen pics of them. What about Catwoman ANY 3 versions of her?Comment

While I love the 66 Batman line something has me worried about the 25 piece accessory set. I've contacted FTC about this and both times they've said it's not planned and just this last time said if the set sells well expansion would be considered.
The issue I'm bringing up to them is the fact Batman and Robin won't be able to hold most of the accessories due to their preexisting hands. They even showed Batman with a open right hand holding the Shark Repellent! They just don't seem to think it's important that in a 70 dollar set that your previously purchased figures can hold any of it. I even mentioned making it an order add on, say 5 or 6 bucks to add the two pairs of hands to the order.
People are noticing or complaining now but once people fork the money over and realize Batman and Robin can't use the BatShields and other gadgets they'll be tons of angry fans. I don't know why they told me this set needs to sell well before they think about making hands to hold the accessories. Seems counterproductive, say it needs to sell well to get the hands, when including the hands would make it a stronger seller with happier customers.
They're not concerned with one customer's complaint but for those that would like to have the hands, contact them! Let them know how you feel about this. Maybe even cancel your preorder for now because 70 dollars is a lot for a bunch of stuff you might as well leave in the box. This line is great, but this is a huge mistake on the horizon. I want villain sets, more show props, but I'm worried about the negative reception this set will receive once the general consumer realizes the accessories won't fit into the Dynamic Duo's hands. I don't even know how they expect us to swap the heads for them either, I can't get them off, most people here say they can't.
My only other complaint is I'm kinda sick of those old MEGO shoes already, I swear 2/3rds of the line has them.
Also they told me the Boxing Riddler and Batman will NOT be using the fist fighter bodies, which seems like a missed opportunity. I don't collecting WGSH but really would have loved to have a couple fist fighters.Last edited by PengyForMayor; Jul 18, '14, 2:48 AM.Comment

I am definitely a fan of FTC. Even though years back, their bodies had issues, their clothes and accessories were always great for me! Now it seems like they have ironed out those issues for the most part and I'm a bigger fan than ever! Their head sculpts and the variety of accessories work really well for me. And lately, they have been coming out with some GREAT new stuff!
As for the accessory pack, looking back to when I was a kid, I would have lost a good part of the items in there within the first week. As a collector, I would generally keep something like that in the case except when I was posing a figure with it for display. If I were going to display it, I'd probably use putty to hold things to the figure's hand. The original figures wore oven mitts so they couldn't hold anything anyway. And in forcing it into their hands, you would have ruined the glove or scratched up the canister. The big items for them to hold would be the batarangs and batcuffs and both of those look like they will fit. Maybe I'm just more forgiving than most. Or maybe my years of customizing Mego figures has made me willing to pull out my Dremel and make things work if I had to.
If you want to get grumpy about it, get grumpy that the items won't fit in the belt. But then things would be way too small to be practical. Either that or the batarangs would have to be hinged to fold.
Just my 2 cents.

I finally got around to opening my 66 Batman last night while watch "House of Cards" (this is the first figure I have opened since Series 1 & 2). Love the figure overall, despite some warts, but really wish the shorts came up higher on the suit. You can futz around with the suit and the belt to make it look better, but that is a ongoing issue with all of the Batman figures.
To stay on topic, one question I'd like to know is if the Accessory Pack Utility Belt will be lengthened to address this issue? The issue are the shorts on the suit, but a longer belt can help the issue and is the easiest revisionist solution.Comment

This wave really has my attention! I'm eager to see what the blank is. This has the potential of being the first wave that I've wanted EVERY figure from!
