I just don't get why they went all accurate with the costumes then blew it on Riddler's shoes.

Look at the above photograph and the one that I've posted below.

Hmmmm...tried that from both sides and couldn't get it to work. I'll keep looking, thanks.

You know, I thought the Riddler figure was kinda creepy in a white panel van offering free candy.
But after those pictures, I'd say they nailed it and the actual character was every bit that creepy.

            You win, Figures Toy Company.

I just opened one and will try to take some photos of how it's done.

I'm pretty happy with mine. I love some of the decisions they made with Batman like,
                  gloves as hands
                  boots for feet.
adding the base neck of the cowl.
full cape with wire to pose it.
the things I didn't like was the head sculpt on Batman isn't very accurate and the paint job could be much better.
a screen printed batsignal on the chest.
VERY poor trimming on the utility belt as well as a poor buckle.
I would have loved to see the unitard be thinner material on both Batman and Robin.
I totally agree with you guys regarding the Riddler's shoes.
to me the Joker is almost perfect.
Overall the changes can be made relatively easy but, for 25.00 per figure. I would've liked them to be better. I still love them and will collect them all and be happy about it. I've only waited 50 freaking years for them. : )

The Batman sculpt looks bang-on to me, but I don't have the figure so maybe it looks different in person.

As for the screen-printed batsignal, they've done this with the 1st Batman Mego wave as well. I can understand why it might miff some people because it's technically not a replica of the original, but I love it. It looks perfect and we don't have to worry about the glue eventually drying and the signal falling off and getting lost. I see it as an improvement on the original design.

Don't see what's wrong with the belt buckle either, its well done and a unique piece to boot. They could have gone lazy and painted it on there instead. What were they supposed to do instead for the chest emblems? Stickers? They lasted about a week or so on my childhood Mego figures, so that would be an awesome idea here.

Anyone happen to order these through Diamond Previews? If so, have they shown up at the comic store or retail outlet?

Picked mine up over the weekend at a local specialty shop.

They only had 2 Robins left, 2 Batmans, and 5 each of the Riddler & Joker. It was fun picking out "mine". The paint jobs on Batman, Robin & Riddler were done pretty well on each available piece, Joker not so much. I picked the best of the 5, and still not 100% satisfied...only about 99.1%

Interesting note: 3 Jokers had satin finished green hair, 2 had glossy green hair.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the shoes it came with.
