In Kenner's defense, the Challenge of the Super Friends season was 6 years old by then. Sure, it was seen in syndication, and was a logical villains list to pull from, but once they went whole-hog into the Fourth World, I doubt it really came to mind much. The nostalgia and reverence for that season hadn't kicked in just yet.

Will be preordering Bizarro, Superman, and Riddler today. I would’ve preferred that they use the shorter cape on Superman like they did for Bizarro. Depending on what they back of the cape looks like, I may order two Bizarro and use the extra cape on Superman.Comment

I pre-ordered from McFarlane too. I just opened a bunch more SPs for a display and I needed a better Superman with a foot peg, so this was welcome news. Old Superman can stay in the Supermobile.Comment
