These super hero characters, in movies and especially in modern comics, have been "taken away" from kids in many ways. The material isn't appropriate for children like their stories were when we were kids. In my mind, these lines, and the corresponding comics and books based on these toy lines, give those characters back to kids. It's a smart move on DC and Marvel's part. Because if they don't make them fans now, they probably won't be later.

Oh and FYI, my kid is 6 1/2 and he prefers the Star Wars Galactic Heroes over the regular 3 3/4 line. Go figure.

Hmmmm. I'd be curious why. Maybe it's because they stand better?
Or are more colorful/fun to look at? Maybe it's the "closer consistency
      of body types"? Interesting

Just the ones listed on the back of the Batcave so far. Black Batman and Robin come with the Batcave, there is also a pilot Batman with the Batcopter, Blue/grey Batman, Penguin w/ Penguns, Joker w/car and Superman w/Krypto. I've seen them all. Very cute.

Saw the Batcave at TRU today. The figures were nice but I thought the cave was kinda generic looking.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Wish they would have had this a few years ago because she would think it is "baby stuff" now.
I showed this to my niece and her first words were, "I'm not too old for THAT!".

They have now expanded the line to include Mr. Freeze and a Black Batcycle.

Cool! Sorry for the bad pun. I'll be on the look out for these. I'm finding the first wave quite a bit now. No new large SF figures yet.

                  Mr. Freeze--glad to hear it!

Of course, I had to get the Penguin.

I picked up the Superman/Krypto set a while back. I'm actually thinking of picking up a few more for some kids I know... if only I could find more Supermans. Darn that Batman!
