The latest set of The Worst just arrived from Super7...The Glow Patrol! I've always been a sucker for anything glow-in-the-dark, so these were a must buy.
In hand, they're a mixed bag...as always the sculpts and card art are gorgeous, and identical to the first two releases...The Midnight Special and The Graveyard Shift. That's the good...now for the bad.
I really wish they're printed the red border and "The Worst" logo in green to make the cards stand out as something special from the first two releases. I always associate green with glow stuff anyway, and Super7 used a green logo in the promos for this set. As for the glow effect, honestly it could have been better. To my surprise the figures are NOT molded in glow plastic. Instead they used a clear translucent plastic with a thin application of glow paint. The effect is very uneven...as you can see on my Snake Tut figure...his left arm barely glows at all, and he has brighter and dimmer spots throughout. This was the case with all six figures.
But, they are what they are...they're still very cool and I'm glad I bought 'em. Now bring on series two!
