You're ruining my wallet, Hector...
Stop showing me all this great stuff!
I know, I'm the same way...wish I could buy all this stuff...but can't...some, but not all...
If I buy this one, then Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, are out. Also the DeLorean with Marty.
That's why I'm currently posting all these threads, get feedback and opinions, ha.
I'm kinda seriously leaning going with the Space Jockey and that Alien Warrior over the Batman v Superman figures and the Back to the Future set...this Alien stuff are like more works of art...and Alien is my favorite sci-fi/horror movie of all times, a classic...while Batman v Superman turned out to be a disappointment. Back to the Future is a classic, but while the DeLorean is awesome, it still looks like a big giant Toys R Us toy...the Space Jockey looks like something out of a museum.
Well, Flex Pay is a good option (I like the way you put it, illusion of affordability, lol), you get to pay over a time period (that way you can perhaps sell other stuff in the meantime to collect extra money)...and if you use a debit card instead of credit card, no interest rate.
Recently, I've decided upon a new way of collecting: just picking one key item that signifies a movie (or franchise) and sticking to that. I've been selling off a lot of multiple versions of a certain character, and getting that one "hero" version of it.
For Alien, for example, this Space Jockey and maybe the 1/4 Big Chap really capture "Alien" for me.
It might be a more expensive piece, but in the end you get something really special, and it narrows down your collection to its finest focus. It also saves a lot of room...

I just placed a non-refundable $60...and reserved me a Sideshow Space Jockey...
Sorry, DC Trinity and DeLorean/Marty...at the end of the day...you were no match for this bad boy.
This holds a dear place in my heart...my late dad took me to see Alien at the Coronet theater in San Francisco way back in 1979...and the Space Jockey left an impression on me...even more so than the actual Alien, believe it or not...it was such a mystery, both scary and beautiful...I even had a poster of it on my wall.
After an entire month of trying to decide and choose...the Space Jockey won the day.
Four monthly payments of $130, yeah, just drink less beer and eat less pizza...I can do that...
Sideshow gave me a $30 discount for just letting them link their add to my Facebook page...plus $15 discount for signing up with their news later...think I'm going to put it down to good use...and order me that Hot Toys Alien Warrior while I'm at it...ha...and...it's not over...I have my eyes on the upcoming Sideshow Alien King maquette too...he, he, he...
