Nothing I want but I am happy for the people excited for them. I also think it's a better choice than many of their other questionable reaction licenses, like Pulp Fiction and Fight Club.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I've had it explained to me, and yet I still can't wrap my head around the decision to go this direction. I guess everything is somebody's favorite. Maybe there's hope for my dream Creepshow figures one day. I honestly thought I'd see those before Golden Girls.

Well, yeah it has no impact on me really either. I may decide to make a carded Maude figure, who knows?
I would love to see an AHI-style Maude Parachuting figure.

Can you imagine the HUGE licensing fee differences in BSG vs. GG?

Now, GG wasn't "Cosby Show" huge---but, if licencing fees are as significant as we've been educated on over the years, well, I'd say THAT's the deal.

And I'll ADD that "proportionally cheaper licencing than Sci-Fi Fantasy franchises" aspect to the already powerful evidence for the reasonable existence of the larger HOME ALONE (the biggest movie of it's time) figures.

Can't see how these are "questionable"? Huge fanbases with the valuable amalgamation of cult movie & mainstream success defining them. You can't ask for more obvious licences IMHO.

Well, yes, of course I get that. But no matter how cheap the license is, you still have production costs, and you have to have a distributor that believes the sales will be there. It also is a bit frustrating for loyal Funko customers who've been supporting the somewhat fringey lines in the hopes that their favorite property from their wish list will one day get made.

I didn't buy either Fight Club or Pulp Fiction figures, but I can see those as more marketable. They're figures of characters that fight and kill each other. I guess I underestimated the irony of a joke action figure people want to spend $10 on as a gag.

I mean... they're old lady action figures. I remember when Brian's Toys did the exclusive Jocasta Nu figure from Attack of the Clones. Like the Gargan figure from Jabba's palace from years ago, that you can still find on pegs, elderly characters are notorious peg warmers.

I have to agree, how many people are going to want to buy action figures of OLD people?

I mean, I loved the show, especially Sofia with her attitude. I wish my grandma had been more like her.

But just because I loved the show, it doesn't mean that I want to buy action figures from it.

Since this is with Conan and Red Sonja, are we sure this is the tv show? There was a generic fantasy line called Golden Girls back in the day. Not sure about how hard/easy (or if there was a fee) to get it.

                          Both of those sold poorly.

Golden Girls isn't exactly on high my list of toys I'd like to see. But it is a beloved 80s TV show with a large following. So it does make sense as a retro property. It's also going to be a smaller production run and was specifically requested by one of Funko's customers.

Just about all of their customers make specific requests. Their are wishlists galore on the Funko threads. I've been clamoring for Creepshow so long I think they're sick of me.

I'll be quiet about it now and just say I'm glad someone's wish is being fulfilled.
