    No More Slave Leia Merchandise.

"Disney is already well on its way to wiping out the 'slave' outfit from any future products period. You will NOT see [any] future merchandising featuring the slave outfit ever again .... [Artists] can’t even draw Leia in a sexy pose at Marvel, let alone in that outfit ... We also had a 3-D [Slave Leia] statue killed at a major manufacturer because there will no longer be any [Slave Leia] merchandise.”

Until someone at Disney decides there's money to be made by resuming the manufacture of Slave Leia merchandise. I never understood the fascination with Leia in the slave outfit anyway.

Within the last 10-15 years Leia Slave has dominated the Star Wars market even surpassing many fan's infatuation with Boba Fett in the 90's.

I think it's time for both to take a rest.

BTW, personally I never thought Leia was overly pretty... Compared to Queen Armadillo Leia's kind of a meh at best

Reminds me of the Avengers A Touch of Brimstone, the only episode never aired in America, but every year at the convention the network executives would pull it out and watch it. Makes me wonder if there is a secret "Slave Leia" room under Cinderella's Castle...

In the summer of 1983 when I was a 13 year old boy between Slave Leia in ROTJ and Lynda Carter Wonder Woman TV reruns during Summer vacation I was in fantasy girl Heaven!

I thought Carrie Fisher was cute before and liked her different hairstyles, but I really noticed Carrie/Leia in her Slave outfit, bikini, long ponytail and all!

I wonder if Han Solo got his full eyesight back in time to see Leia in her slave outfit before she changed to her Endor gear?

Poor Luke! "Obi-Wan couldn't you have told me Leia was my sister before I saw her in the slave outfit?" lol

Now we may never get Sideshow or Hot Toys 12" Slave Leia figure!

I wonder how true this is. I wonder how it will affect the market value of existing merchandise. I've got an Adam Hughes print that's already worth over a grand.

Yes, it's everywhere and saturated, but it still works for me. Being 12 when Jedi came out, I suddenly saw Leia quite differently in that film.

I like Carrie Fisher as much as the next guy ... But you have to admit she's kind of a hag beyond the Classic Star Wars universe

I never found the slave outfit all that significant. It's a tiny aspect of the movie, and the nerds just jumped on it, that one moment of partial "nudity" in a goody-two-shoes universe.

What is disappointing (but expected), is the PC attitude of "let's never address the issue of slavery again, it doesn't exist, never has!!!!"
I want to see Disney do a movie about the building of the pyramids. I guess all the hard work will be done by a little donkey...

Things went bad after Return of the Jedi for certain, but she was a cutie in all three movies. I'm sure a lot of it was the chemicals, but she looked like she was having the most fun on the set.

I really hate that a sum of a woman's career is often reduced to solely whether she's hot or not, it isn't the best trait of fans.

Never had a Leia crush as a kid but I really liked her character, seeing her degraded and chained to what was basically a giant wang bugged me as a kid. I couldn't put it into those words but it did the opposite that it did for many of my peers, it kind of turned me off.

Disney's focus is families and this isn't a particularly family friendly item, moan about PC all you want but it's not, it's dollars.

Maybe because I was in college when Jedi was released I thought the Slave Leia thing was a cheap bit of exploitation. It's not that Carrie/Leia looked bad it just seemed pointless.

I think the whole character of Leia is pretty one dimensional and not thought out.

For one thing, why doesn't she use the force ?

We all know she believes in it ... Even if she didn't know Luke was her brother if you saw the guy next to you doing all kinds of fun things using the force wouldn't you at least try too ? --- especially since she figured out her and Luke had telepathic ability (Empire Strikes Back).

IMO Leia's character (being invented in the mid 70's) was an man's view of what a feminist is.
