Fun exclusive, but I will pass. No way they would have made a bloody one back in the day, so doesn't work for me.Comment

There was a version I saw when I was very young that I have a very vivid memory of, when Hooper first inspects the remains of Chrissie. In the theatrical and current releases, he just lifts the arm from the tray and says "so this is what happens". As I say, I have a very vivid memory of seeing more to that seen. I remember Hooper saying "so this is what happens when a young girl goes swimming" and actually seeing more of the remains.
I've searched and searched the net for more info on this, but can find nothing. It was shown in the very early 80's in the UK, but I can't rememeber if it was shown on the BBC or if it would have been on the ITV network.
As Spielberg explained (from a question by Bryan Singer) to Empire in the 20th birthday issue, “I had cut out a line of dialogue and inside the line of dialogue I artificially manufactured a new line. Verna Fields and I pieced together ‘This is what happens’ from other things that he was saying.” Yet it doesn’t fully explain the significance of the line Spielberg manufactured or why the line was changed. Some viewers recall the line “This is what happens when a young girl goes swimming.” Jaws forum dwellers suggest it is an added-in later cutaway and then it might be the prop man holding the severed fore-arm.

I knew I'd seen that version and remember Hooper saying "so this is what happens when a young girl goes swimming". I even had it recorded on VHS, but that would be long gone by now.Comment

I wonder if Quint is permanently attached inside the sharks mouth? If not, I'm sure to have the one where he rattles around the box.Comment
