    I agree that looks nice...BUT...

    SPOILERS FOR CAP 2

...in the story, they don't have time to spray paint Sam's wings. I liked how his wings were pre-existing and he had used them before. It just made sense.

They can have him customize them in a sequel (and I bet they do). But I appreciate that they didn't do that in the movie, because it would have thrown the story off a bit.

      That's what I'm talking about!!!
A superhero is always that little bit over the top, and this is just right...

That looks great! Although I agree that how they pulled it off made sense in the story.

What I would have done to fit with the military theme of the story, but still show some homage to his original costume, is give him garnet camo.

A simple move IMO! Nevertheless, even though it looked great, I sure hope they jazz it up for the next movie.

That is a HUGE improvement, but I would go even further than that, but that's me. I like bright and colorful.

Did the inner 8 year old kind of wish Falcon was a bare-chested mind controlled pimp in a red and white, feathered costume that telepathically communicates with birds? Sure.

But within the context of the film, they really did capture the spirit of his friendship (and partnership) with Cap, and at the end of the day that's most important. The drab outfit does work given that his back-story is that he's ex-military stealth recon. Hopefully as the Marvel cinematic universe continues, and perhaps he Super-heroes up in potential Avengers or Captain America sequels, we'll get more of a nod to the classic.

Looks like they have given him a splash of red in the movie action figure from Hasbro.

The positive part of all this is, that because of his movie appearance, a more Classic Falcon gets to show up in the toy aisles...

we should all run out and buy the Avengers Falcon figure if we want to show our love for the red and white.
