Bet that is the playset they announced a while ago. Notice the assembly required, action figures not included. Awesome.

Well the other thing that never fails to get attention or inquiries when we're at shows is Godzilla, which is totally your Jam! I'd say that's consistently been your bread and butter at the shows, but can't hurt to get a couple and see what happens (although they should correspond to MMPR, the first Saban series).

I collected all of the Aliens and Predator figures of that era. I still have them, as oddly enough, nobody wants them .
At conventions, you can easily find them in mint condition for $5 tops...

We're about ten years out from the big explosion of 90's nostalgia. 80's kids rule the toy shows right now... that perfect storm of thirty somethings who grew up with He-Man, Transformers etc. with the time and disposable income.

We're seeing the first glimmer of Power Rangers collectors though. Any of that stuff I happen to have on the table always gets the most inquiries. I'm assuming Spawn is coming down the pipe as well eventually.

In a Kenner 1.0 kind of way ala the Alien Prototypes/Super 7 and Star Wars.

Not Kenner 2.0 90's Aliens Marines, which I guess were designs for the aborted animated series.

Your efforts really paid off Craig. Your sculptor did a fantastic job. The Six Million Dollar Man and Alien figures actually look like Kenner made them. The other stuff coming from Funko does not. IMO, they should have held off releasing images until they got the sculpts just right.
The fact that they previewed close to fifty new figures at toyfair tells you right there that they were incredibly rushed, and it shows.

I had heard that we were sposed to see aliens figures when Funko anounced all these different lines.
But having said that unless the product looks alot better than the prototypes shown i will be very picky about what i get from this line.

The only reference material he had to work from were images of the original prototypes.
Yeah, that's what I've always heard, it's been a bit misleading. One collector who owns a bunch of the original prototypes has gone on record to say that he did not lend out his figures for use in anyway to aid in the production of the Super 7 toys. They mostly just used photo references. They still turned out great though.

I've worked with five different sculptors who were/are doing work on these type of figures. Trust me when I say that capturing the classic Kenner look is not easy, there's been a lot of trial and error involved with the process.

I stand corrected and thanks for the additional info! I will say they did a great job with the "Kenner" look for sure!
