Will Alien ReAction from Funko continue?

I'm not too crazy about the upcoming lines, but the Alien figures are great.
I was wondering: would they ever consider making the three remaining crew members (Parker, Brett and Lambert), and how about a follow-up with the Colonial Marines?

I would like them in the retro Kenner style, but not in the "let's do them in a crappy and unrecognizable style" that we're seeing for Escape from New York, Back to the Future, etc.
Funko needs to learn the distinction between "retro" and "poorly made".
They got it right with Alien, so it's possible.

They got it right with Alien because they scanned in the original prototypes. The rest of the stuff they've shown looks like someone sculpted them as a joke.

            That's probably it.
Snake Plissken? Generic guy with brown jacket and beard stubble. Why make any more effort?

Maybe they are going after the Kenner prototype look where they used FP adventure people for the base.

Actually that's not true, at least not for 3 of the figures. The sculptor I'm using for wave 2 of the Six Million Dollar Man figures sculpted three of the characters from that line, which were Ripliey, Dallas and Ash. The only reference material he had to work from were images of the original prototypes.

I've worked with five different sculptors who were/are doing work on these type of figures. Trust me when I say that capturing the classic Kenner look is not easy, there's been a lot of trial and error involved with the process.

The gentleman who oversaw the whole Super 7 Alien project, did not join Funko when they took over. It's kind of obvious to me that he had big hand in why that line looked so good.

I stand corrected and thanks for the additional info! I will say they did a great job with the "Kenner" look for sure!

Yeah, that's what I've always heard, it's been a bit misleading. One collector who owns a bunch of the original prototypes has gone on record to say that he did not lend out his figures for use in anyway to aid in the production of the Super 7 toys. They mostly just used photo references. They still turned out great though.

I had heard that we were sposed to see aliens figures when Funko anounced all these different lines.
But having said that unless the product looks alot better than the prototypes shown i will be very picky about what i get from this line.

Your efforts really paid off Craig. Your sculptor did a fantastic job. The Six Million Dollar Man and Alien figures actually look like Kenner made them. The other stuff coming from Funko does not. IMO, they should have held off releasing images until they got the sculpts just right.
The fact that they previewed close to fifty new figures at toyfair tells you right there that they were incredibly rushed, and it shows.

In a Kenner 1.0 kind of way ala the Alien Prototypes/Super 7 and Star Wars.

Not Kenner 2.0 90's Aliens Marines, which I guess were designs for the aborted animated series.
