I would have been all over it if they had in plan re-issuing ALL DCUC Super Powers characters in Super Powers Cards. But just Supes, Bats and WW as a series "finale" is stupid, very stupid.
If only Anthony (Toyroom) could come up with Super Powers Cards to Re-card all DCUC SP figs would be great!Comment

But, really, these Super Powers are a treat and not some mass-market solution to anything... they're a gift to fans like me who really want these items and won't bow out because of a price point... for that, I applaud them... and THANK THEM.
Mattel makes so many stupid mistakes... especially with distribution... but one reason I really love them is that their exclusive Matty material (and even some of their in-store stuff) is almost child-like in concept...40-somethings who say "Wouldn't it be cool to have THIS or THAT." and then they DO it.
And there seems to be this constant output of cool retro-geared material (KNOCK ON WOOD)... I'm always looking forward to toy convention reveals because of this.
Kudos Mattel!Last edited by huedell; Feb 18, '14, 11:28 AM."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment

^I like them too. I wish the price wasn't so steep, but I guess these aren't any worse than the SDCC figures of the past several years. I wish they just caved in and went all SP years ago, but I'll take these releases as a farewell to DCUC and tribute to SP.
Seems really weird that Kenner was absorbed into Hasbro, and Mattel is making these, though.

I like the the cards a lot, and the idea is a cool one. I have to admitt when I first saw them my heart jumped a little. Reality is they are repaints of existing figures on new cards. That saddled with a $30 pricetag took the wind out of my sails... I think it's neat, but not enough to bite... Way to think out of the box Mattel (for once).

Hasbro is sitting on a gold mine without realizing it. Since they acquired Kenner, they should be able to reproduce the Super Powers body style and internal mechanisms and apply them to the Marvel license.
Can you IMAGINE Super Powers scale and style Marvel figures? These things would FLY off the shelves and be a hit with kids and collectors alike. They could simply rename it the Super-Powered collection.
Captain America with power action shield block!
Iron Man with power action repulsor blasts!
Spider-Man with power action climbing arms!
Hulk with power action punch!
Wolverine with power action claw slash!
Dr. Strange with power action spell casting!
They would sell craploads of these things. Too bad I don't work there. It'd be my mission in life to make this happen.Comment
