Don't get me wrong...I love Hot Toys. They're beautiful to look at, but I'm too scared to play with 'em, and their prices are now heading into beyond what even high end collectors can afford.
The only way I could spend $700-800 on a toy is if it was rare and vintage, know what I mean?Comment

That is a thing of beauty...but I agree they've crossed the rubicon into utter ridiculousness on price. I mean, even if they broke this set up, and released each piece one at a time, it would help. Even Sideshow's payment plan is going to equal a monthly car payment on this one.

I don't even like this version of Batman, but this looks amazing! Good for them to even consider producing such an item.
The thing is, this BEGS to be played with! Look at the play value built into this. In a parallel universe, I would buy this, spread out on the carpet with my daughter, and her barbies would battle Bruce Wayne for closet space!Comment

These days, I just buy a good headsculpt, and slowly piece together a figure, using generic bodies, clothing, etc.
I just won't pay $200 for a simple "guy in a suit"..
