I've never owned much in the way of Star Wars product and I've loved all of this stuff coming out. You're not alone in finding appeal in this new line of product. WTH... do it. If your that worked up over it, you know... you KNOW... you'll only be that much more sorry later if you don't. Buy it. Enjoy it. That's what this hobby is all about.

Don't do it. For the same price, you could probably find a decent vintage one. Perhaps even in a box.

I was salivating over this when I saw it in the store, but the price just about made me cry. If I had kids or my nephew lived closer, I might have been able to convince myself into it...

But, for that price, I could buy a Hot Toys figure. Some of them go for around the same price, with most topping out at 50% more. I find it interesting how some people will say that those are far too expensive, but will turn around and tell you to go for it, when it's something like this. :P

I just picked up one of those huge Legacy Millennium Falcons for $20 at a yard sale. I like it a lot, but it basically just sits on a coffee table taking up a huge amount of space.

It's funny, I like it because it solves so many of the problems of the original. I have the reissue from 1996, that scratched the itch of never having it as a kid, but having a cockpit the figures actually fit into and having that larger scale is nice.

Mmm, to each his own. I appreciate the Hot Toys figures, but don't lust after them. This strikes an emotional chord in me for sure, it's got that in it's favor.

There's the rub. The new toy room is already a bit cramped. There's no immediately obvious place to put this thing, but it could be done. Still, it's $200 for something that will take up space and look pretty...but I could say that for everything I have. That is kind of the point of a toy collection.

                This is fun, thanks gang.

I had many of the same thoughts and picked one of these up when they first came out. Was thinking I would play with it with the kids, but it is still in its box. I have considered getting rid of it more than once, but shipping the beast would probably be more than it is worth. I might enjoy it more with that retro package, but in reality I would prefer vintage if I was to have a large pretty box on the shelf. It is a big negative to me that once you build it out of box, it does not go back inside.

I love the Kenner Falcon. It's an amazing classic toy that has aged very well. But the big Hasbro Falcon is not really a replacement or alternative for the vintage Kenner one. Its size and features sets it apart.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Talk you out of it? I'll try. Buy a Mego instead. Don't buy it because Star Wars helped put Mego out of business. Lucas is evil. Disney is evil. Hasbro is evil. Any of that help?
