You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return... -
Saw R2 at Target this morning. I couldn't bring myself to buy him first. I'll wait till I see Luke or Sandtrooper to buy my first ones then get R2 later.Comment

These arrived and they are gorgeous in person. Luke's pictures don't do him justice. I don't know If it's just my room, but the lighting really brings the face sculpt to a new level and they all look so good. The funniest thing is, that I'm an ABSOLUTE opener of my toys and I like these better in the box to display. I can still open them, but hasbrotoyshop gives the option of easily putting them back in.
In love....totally helped the batman 66 disappointment that hit this week. I have a line to look forward to!Comment

I saw the Luke and Darth Maul and they are really nice. I like the size of the figure and the sculpts are nice...but they aren't $20 nice. I'll wait til some Star Wars collectors get tired of or have to sell off their collections. What would be even better is if Target stocks too many and has to clearance them in January after they do their inventory. Are these strictly Target or will they show up in other stores like TRU and Walmart??"When not too many people can see we're all the same
And because of all their tears,
Their eyes can't hope to see
The beauty that surrounds them
Isn't it a pity".

Got my pre-orders in today.....
Luke is awesome! R2 has crappy paint, and though he does quite a bit, seems rather meh. I like what you did with yours MightyMeg!
I also got a Sandtrooper today, but had already picked one up locally. You can never have too many though!
Can't wait for series two!Comment

A character like R2-D2 is a no-brainer for me because of the 4 released in this first wave, R2 is the only one that is a core character. Don't get me wrong... the Luke kinda counts for that... but I'd be more partial to "original Kenner 12" "Farmboy" Luke to go nuts on.... regardless, I've managed to get 5 of the "X-Wing" Lukes as well. THEN there's the Sandtrooper... not a huge fan... but take off all his stuff... and you have a regular ol' Stormtrooper.... albeit a grungy-lookin' one. Got myself 3 deep into THOSE. Maul? Just by happenstance... 3 deep into him, as well. And, of course, I couldn't resist pulling the trigger on pre-Wave 2 Fett.
AS you can see, this line is by far the most passionate I've ever been about a line not associated with white powder... ever
But back to Artoo..... he's a small figure... but comes with the most accessories. For me, that means, even outside the fact he's such a core character, he's got about 50 iterations of display you could choose for him. Not to mention, the Artoo pictured in this thread is custom-weathered. So, if you have THAT option at your disposal, and like me you have a yen for multiple looks for a figure, then that adds more bang for your buck for not only buying one of 'em, but for getting into multiples as I have.
Good luck BK, and the rest of you on-the-fencers! You.... will... die....
...for the figures.
Eventually.

I saw R2, the Sandtrooper, and Maul at Target last night. They do look cool. The sculpts register nicely in person. I agree R2 is a tad sloppy on the paint apps. But Maul looks really good, as does the Sandtrooper. I like the fact Maul has another head to pose with. Cool figures. Had they been more reasonably priced, I would have picked them up. But not at $20.00 a pop. I'm not a big enough fan to lay down $60.00 plus on figures that small. But I do understand the love for them from the collectors. They look great in the all black packaging too.Comment

Last night, I was at Target and they had Luke, R2, and Darth Maul. I bought the Luke. Legs seem to be a little too long. Nice figure, but no great shakes. I'm looking forward to Boba, Greedo, Han, Vader, and Stormtrooper. C3PO should be cool.I am more than machine. More than man. More than a fusion of the two.Comment

20 bucks is pretty much the norm for this size figure now .... with this detail, articulation and type of property. It will never be cheaper.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
