My standard release Batman is shipping now from Amazon, and listed as in stock on their website. My Penguin and Riddler have been updated to "shipping soon".
My Batusi Batman figures have shipped and are on the way from mattycollector.
Received my 1:12 scale, Hot Wheels, Batcycle and it really looks great with the figures and Batmobile. I highly recommend this, because the chances of a Batcycle from this line are slim.
And I ordered some onomatopoeia stands from Laser Mego (pmwasson) for these, which I am really looking forward to getting!

The Batmobile rolled in from Target.com today. Other than Mattel's mindless gluing of the box flaps (on a collector's piece, really?) the box design and car itself are STUNNING. I love it. I can't wait for my EE order to actually give me some figures to put in this baby!

Yep, it kept telling me it didn't accept my Visa or AmEx card, but then a refresh, and it accepted the order.Leave a comment:

Yeah, ordered a couple Batusi figures earlier today when they went on sale. Took me 10 minutes, got a ton of error screens. Oh how I hate ordering through mattycollector.Leave a comment:

I'm surprised anyone would think Wal-Mart or Target would be interested in novelty Batman items from nearly 50 yr old media. I couldn't see this line happening but for TRU/online exclusivity.Leave a comment:

^^^ Yeah, that has all the ear marks of another debacle that sabotaged the Retro Action line. I think for those interested, online purchases may be the only way to go.Leave a comment:

Yeah... just read a few days ago about the Mattel stuff only being at Toys R Us. That scares me. Now I might just order online and not take a chance on missing them.Leave a comment:

I'm gonna be broke as a joke. I gotta have it all...the Mattel figures, the 8" and the 12". It's just too good to pass up, and I know whatever I don't get now I'll regret a few years down the road. That's pretty much my thinking at present. If the Mattel Batmobile looks good in person and is not priced out of this stratosphere, I'm inclined to pick that up along with a Batman and Robin set to ride in it. The rest of my purchasing habits for the Batman '66 line will be with the Figure Toys Company. An eight inch line is what I had always envisioned as a kid. So unless the company overreacts to the buzz and sets prices too high, I should be getting all of them. At this stage, I suspect the '66 line will retail at $29.99 each like their variant figures do. I won't be overly pleased with that, since it's gouging at its finest, but I won't have a choice. Lord knows what they'll charge on the 12 inch.Leave a comment:

Mattel's products other than Barbie always have spotty distribution at the Wal-Mart's in my area.
But, yeah, I thought of mattel's remego line, too. I'm hoping the DVDs/Blu Rays are released this fall to help support the merchandise. I'm going to go with the Figures.com line for the most part, but it will be hard to pass up the Batmobile.Leave a comment:

So Walmart didn't bite at a '66 Batman display? Interesting. Because where TRU is involved, you can always expect an uptick of prices that typically you don't see at Walmarts or Targets, simply because there's not as many outlets to fill shelves as there are in those stores. With so many players in the licensing game, I was expecting better distribution of product. That's definitely a game changer.Leave a comment:

^Ah, I see what you are seeing now. I didn't know TRU had the retail lock on this whole line. That hasn't worked out too well for Mattel and DC in the past...!!!

According to the Mattel rep interviewed for the article it's just Toys R Us and Internet sellers like bigbadtoys.com and entertainmentearth, amok time. The Internet specialty shops won't have the Batmobile, just TRU.
The rep may have misspoken but I doubt it. I believe he would have mentioned Wal-Mart, world's largest retailer, when asked a direct question about which retailers would carry the line. That would be a pretty big mistake.Q1. What retailers should fans expect to carry the Batman Classic 1966 TV Show figures?
A1. The Batmobile is a Toys R Us exclusive. The other items can be found at Toys R Us and other fine online retailers.

I believe the Batmobile is the TRU exclusive. The regular figures should be everywhere.
