Not really Transformers related, but I'm sure many of you will still be interested in this news nonetheless. Hasbro has just unveiled new pictures of the all-new JEM and the Holograms exclusive and the massive Marvel Universe S.H.I.E.L.D. Super Heli-Carri

One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

The Jem cartoon is also in the same continuity as Transformers, GI JOE and Inhumanoids cartoons.

I was Talking about the SDCC "show" ...
I am so tired of all these "Exclusives" That They smoke and Mirror BS for. Thank God I didn't want The MOTU Classic or DCU Classic figures this year. ..... But there's a few 12inchers I want. I'm just tired of it.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

The MOTUC SDCC exclusive Vykron is pretty bad. There's obviously a reason why a lot of those early MOTU concepts didn't make it off the drawing board. I'm a pretty hard core MOTU collector and Vykron is an easy pass for me. They are really scraping the bottom of the MOTU concept barrel with this figure. I'm just happy the figure wasn't part of the sub

Wow! About time, Hasbro's Jem display at Toy Fair was a real disappointment. This looks EXACTLY like what every Jem fan could possibly want, and the choice for "Hollywood Jem" as the first/convention release is a great choice (rather than a more iconic, basic Jem). Price-point momentarily aside...I'm looking forward to seeing further plans for this line post SDCC, as well as some packaging shots. Great news!
I have kinda mixed feelings on this. I'm excited that there finally is a new Jem doll and line but I'm absolutely dreading the idea of having to fight for expensive limited collector dolls. I want Hollywood Jem but won't be crushed if I can't get one. Hollywood Jem is a great idea for an exclusive, being she was planned for the original line, but not a must have, for me, like the more iconic Jem/Jerrica one or even Glitter and Gold. I'd be pretty stressed right now if the exclusive has been Pizzazz.
I would have honestly prefered a mass market collector line by Hasbro in the $30-$60 range like Mattel's pop culture collector Barbies.

Now that the shock and excitement of the announcement has worn off, I've been closely looking over the pictures of the new Jem and the head sculpt looks a bit off to me. It just doesn't have the sweetness of the original Jem doll sculpts or her animated version. It has almost like slightly angry or glaring /sneering expression. Probably would work better for Pizzazz or Roxy than Jem. I don't know. I'm still hoping Hasbro will announce a mass market Jem revival.

Integrity's take on Jem's likeness definitely looks to be influenced by the vintage box art more than the softer looks of the animation model and toys themselves, which I think is great. I'm really confident in Integrity's handling of this line, though I do still think Hasbro missed the boat on a modernized, mass-market Jem line aimed at today's youth, especially considering the outrageously dressed and often alternatively-monikered pop singers today (not to mention performing holograms!), and seeing Hasbro's own forays into more girl-focused content on the HUB.
