Don't get me wrong... I think Hot Toys figures are fantastic. In fact, I just bought my first. The realism is, well... unreal.

The problem I have with most of their figures is that I enjoy representations of comicbook characters instead of specific actors (I can't see me collecting hyper-realistic figures that are based on movies - like Star Wars, Etc. While some love it, it's just not my cup of tea). The Christopher Reeve Superman was the only time I was able to get over that.

The other issue is that sometimes I'm not familiar with the actor or the property. It's like looking through someone else's family pictures when you don't know anybody in the photos. I have a hard time caring.

With a couple of exceptions, the only other Hot Toys figure I could see me buying is one of the Iron Man figures. I'd put the mask on and never even look at the Robert Downey Jr. face sculpt.
