Exactly. I think I'll be sitting this one out for just that reason. I was hoping HT would "sacrifice" a little aesthetic accuracy and design a hard plastic, articulated Bat-suit body.
I think these things are just too high-priced to have to worry about long-term degradation. I have a Predator figure with dreadlocks that feel like they're made out of foam, and the Dutch figure with the rubbery body. Both look fine right now -- but 3 years really isn't a long enough time to judge. (And I hate that I have to "worry" about it.)
I love the work that Hot Toys does, but I have neither the funds nor the desire to build a UV proof vacuum chamber for something I collect.
