Young Justice figures too high?

I saw these for the first time today at Target. $9.99 for one 4" figure with only shoulder, hip and neck articulation, and a piece of the Hall of Justice. I know toys are expensive these days, but at least Hasbro gives you detailed sculpts with lots of articulation and a lot of accessories for around that price (or a little under).

The Hall of Justice piece is cool, but to most kids it's not going to be worth it, and most parents will agree, I would think. Only us collectors with love for the Super Friends will be after this aspect of it.

With this price point, and Cartoon Network refusing to air this series, I don't see this line lasting long.

I have Absolutley No Interest in Any Mattel 4ichers.
They are Horrible ..., and are Hurrendous compaired to anything Hasbro. Mattel has no idea Whats so Ever what they are doing in this scale.

I agree the price point is too high considering the limited articulation and bland sculpts. Reminds me how Mattel did the Secret Wars figures with generic body sculpts and painted on details.

I love the scale and would really like a good DC line in this size. The Hall of Justice parts are disappointing. Once built, it's just a facade. There's no play value to it. Kenner gave us an actual Hall of Justice playset in the scale.

Marvel Universe figures are now $11.99 in some places in Canada. I don't understand... our dollar is stronger than US these days.

i think the stores are marking up the retail prices. the young justice figures here in my area are 24.99. crazy!

The 4" figs are $9.99. That's average for a small fig, but the 7" Robin and Artemis are $19.99! Give me a break. I won't be getting any of these.

Its like Mattel is purposely running the DC liscense into the ground. Maybe there is an escape clause in the contract or something and this is how they can get out.

^It really does seem that way. However, they are firing on all cylinders with their young kids lines. The new Imaginext and Little People stuff is really nice, and the prices aren't too insane.

DCU classics have always been around $20-25 up here... When you can actually find them at mass market retail. Many comic shops are charging closer to $30.

Golly was it a happy day when some waves ended up at Winners discount for $12

Icicle Jr.?

I mean they cancel things like retro robin and then excpect me to buy Icicle Jr. from this wave? The Batman and Robin set of Young Justice looked cool so I got that. Then I saw the Aquaman Aqualad set so I was like ok ok. Then I saw the single figures and picked up Speedy and Kid Flash. Then I was kinda happy about building that Hall of Justice. Then I noticed one of the pieces comes with Aqualad, didn't like the figure enough to buy it twice. Then Icicle Jr. Not interested. I was able to avoid the larger ones entirely by getting the DC Direct Damian Robin instead.

I agree totally. I saw the YJ figures yesterday and my mouth literally hung open. We will see these on clearance in the distant future.

For the 6" versions, are they reusing parts from DCUC? It looked that way, so why are they more expensive than that line,?
