I've been burned out for a while. Too many lines and characters plus the prices don't help either.

yeah the price point on the new figures is ridiculous. A $9.99 for a 3.75" figure is way out of line.

I've never seen a toy company milk something the way Hasbro do. It's funny, because whenever I go to the toy section of Wal-Mart I see everything that was popular in the 80s. It's like they've run out of ideas and just rehash everything.

I don't care how cool some of the new SW stuff is. I just know a bunch of corporate weasels are sitting at a big table laughing and saying things like, "these nerds will buy anything we put out!"

It's as if being a modern toy collector is an identity based upon being an idiot. A big sucker who'll folk over his money time and time again under some senseless notion that he has to "have it all".

Something I'm not getting is the price difference between the stuff on the vintage card and the stuff on the generic blue card.

I've pretty much stopped buying any modern Star Wars figures. I love the old vintage stuff. I'll never get tired of it. Hasbro would have to make something that is really nice before I buy any more modern Star Wars toys.

I was heavy into the modern Star Wars line for years, but as a child of the
'70's, the new Clone Wars stuff is a bit beyond my interest. I've kept up with the retro cardback Vintage line, except for those with Prequel characters, but haven't bought any of those in months, either, due to not being able to find anything new. Much like the DCUC line, the problems with case assortments/restocking/distribution is ruining it for me.

Tracking down lovely Mego's on the 'Bay... now that's a lot of fun!

I feel as you all do and frustrated , the figures stay the same and the prices are to high .

All the figure sets are full of the same figures that have been done before .

I`m very disappointed with Hasbro`s distribution , only one of each new figure per case and the rest is just clone and stormtrooper filler .

                    Hmmmm....

I think the problem with Star Wars is thet they keep going to the same well over and over. HOW MANY Darth Vaders does one person need? I WOULD like to see some new side stories. The galaxy is a big place....

I think the Star Wars franchise has been a truly breathtaking wasteland of mindless and unoriginal figures. If you were to step back and observe the entire Star Wars toy line, I can't imagine how much real estate that would cover. Never mind the duplication of characters. Just the sheer number of action figures that appear nearly identical would be virtually unending, save for the packaging. How or why fans of these movies have never demanded better really speaks to the disease of blindly following the label, rather than demanding quality for the money spent. I think when collectors see cheaply made figures from movie tie-ins, one only has to point to the Star Wars figures to explain why there is never any effort made to make them better.

                          Return of the Jedi eh?

Yknow you have a point I never did get the last few on the Kenner line. But I did enjoy the first round of Phantom menace or at least I think I did. I think I also enjoyed the vintage on card collection, when Vader came out for Sideshow etc. The Sideshow line is was very frustrating because minor characters come came out bit still no chewie or droids.

I'm just not doing the hot toys thing either unless I get hi with immense fortunes.

about this line continuing a no-brainer. Kudos Hasbro!

I agree Echo Base Han looks good , every now and again Hasbro does make a good figure but they turn out in such low quantities that the casual collector may never see one in the stores , This in an ocean of retread figures .
