Not a problem for me. Like I said, I don't collect the DCU scale, or even the DC Direct figures. I would be picking this one up purely as an old Swampy fan.

    I did nab a Ghoulia.

For collectors of the DC Universe line though it was kind of a problem. Seriously, the figure is huge.

Check it out here. Batman is I think six foot two and Swampy is supposed to be seven feet tall. That's some serious scale issues for collectors of the line.

I can understand that. Ghoulia is awesome.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Swamp Thing was the only thing I stood in line for at San Diego this year, and since I'm not a collector of the DC line I was quite pleased and surprised by the size of the damn thing. I bought three (one for me, one each for two pals) and had to check a bag on the way home (free, thanks delta) because the three figures in box took up the same amount of space as a rolling travel bag. I kid you not.

Also, the limit per piece for the different exclusives at the show was 6 per person and the Stay Puftt was sold out by Friday night from what I saw.

          I never bought Swampy today.
I have Damn near every DCU To Date.
However, ... I just have absolutely No Interest in the Character.... and Don't need him ...at all... atleast not for 30 bucks Chief. I have about as much love for him ..., as I do Starman and His Cosmic Rod.

Swamp Thing's scale kind of put me off on him too. Not sure I would have bitten, but with him being huge, it turned me off.

I did get Cindy a Carol Ferris Barbie and a Ghoulia. It took me a half an hour too.

Swampie was supposed to be comparable to the build-a-figures... How does he look standing next to them?

I've heard a great deal of concern over figures that are rubber covered armatures. Apparently high end 12" figures that are less than ten years old are cracking and crumbling

I seriously doubt that the size of Swamp Thing is discouraging the Majority of the potential Sales of the Character. Build a Figures ...

I didn't know that, about his size ... now it interests me somewhat.

I bought Swamp Thing at SDCC and he is awesome!
he has a slimy-feeling sticky skin.
He's as tall as the Build-A-Figures.
and his face looks like Boris Karloff.

                      true story.

Swamp Thing and the Horror and War guys are all that intrest me.

I dont think this looks much like Wrightson. A lot bissette.

Wrigtsons Swampy was muck and slime. No flowers or Halucinogenic pods growing.

If he's sticky, will tear, cant hold a pose etc.
                          Then i dont want him.

I wouldnt buy a dull knife, a toaster that didnt toast so I dont want a Swamp Thing I cant play with.

"A toy I cant play with"
Another reason I didslike toys becoming a adult hobby.

I really want a Swamp Thing, but like a lot of folks, I'm concerned with the rubber skin deteriorating and the oily/sticky feel of the skin.
