I had Captain Action and GI Joe in the 60's. They were 12" as were many other AF lines.
In the 70's I saw the Mego figures and almost got some, especially Superman, but it was the small size that stopped me. I could not justify spending the money on such small figures! I was used to the 12" ones!
    Now I like both!

Good news. I think those prices will work. Sounds like a line that has great potential. I will be eager to see this latest evolution of CA. However I dread the collectible isles at TRU. Do you know how empty that isle will be because of insider stock boys swiping these pieces to hock on Ebay? I hope TRU puts the clamp down on these problems so the consumer will have access to the product. Availability is key here and I hope Round2corp will make enough to meet demand. I would prefer to be able to order them online to avoid the in-store hassles. Any chance TRU will do this with Captain Action?

Took me a while to happen across this, but WOW! I have all the PM stuff, and although I like what Cast-A-Way is doing, I cannot get into the 8" scale. I had the originals in the 60's, and that is what I want long for more of. Now, I get to realize the joy again, just like when PM originally revived the line. Thank You!!!!!!

I am looking forward to these, but will be extremely disappointed if we don't see a Dr. Evil and a Green Goblin outfit for him.

High Prices. Thats why I have yet to buy a Retro DC figure except as a gift for a kid.not only are teh prices high. They are high enough to be insulting and infuriating. And how many times has those charatcers already been made into toys in the last 50 years? Hard to for me to get excited.

I like the Captain Action idea because I just want the outfits. And just the parts that will fit my Eagle Eye GiJoe.

I went through a lot of 1990s ToyBiz 12" stuff trying to get the stuff to fit. They only worked if i put the Babe Ruth 12" Kenner fatsuit on.
20 bucks for one or two stand alone outfits? okay, if i's something i havent seen before.

If they make exclusives that I cant afford I just wont get them. If these outfits are hard to find because of TRU Employees, I wont buy them. The whole hobby has two strikes against it for me and it's because of scalpers and inital prices.
I realized the only way to be a collector and stay sane is to not get emotional about this. The toy companies know who we are and how to milk us. Often i have put down toys i wanted, new or vintage and realizd i just wouldnt enjoy owning them at that price.
Collect them all is no longer feasible. For many reasons.

I'll wait and pick them up on ebay cheap in a couple of years when people have buyers regret or thier power gets turned off because theyre broke and need cash.

I don't have the same concerns as others, I still feel it's great to have a chance for more CA stuff. I guess my only real concern would be if the new figures depart radically from the old Ideal CA.

I think the slight changes PM made when updating the faces were fine, because they were still very much like the old CA. However, if they change the body and face too much, especially if they change the scale to make him a true 12" (which will then not look good with all the old CA and old GI Joe stuff) I will be disappointed and probably turn away.

I love that you guys are taking another chance on CA, I think with the Avengers tie-in it will have some traction, just please leave the original as intact as possible! It means we can use old PM figures with the new outfits as well!

The original is great. Better hands than Joe had in teh 60s.

                    just FIX THE SHOULDERS!
