I never cared for the Droids cartoon as a kid. I couldn't understand why Luke and Han were not with them. Does it take place before the movies? I haven't seen it since then.
The Ewoks cartoon I love. I watched it without fail every week. I even bought a DVD with a few episodes on it. I would pick up figures in that style of them.Comment

Weren't the Ewok figures the peg warmers back in the day?
I'm not up on vintage stuff these days, but for the longest time the (movie versions at least) were the cheapest you could get for your Star Wars action figure collection since they were so plentiful (except perhaps for Wicket).Comment

I meant that more as a joke. Actually I'm surprised Lucas never added one to the Jedi Order! Even more outrageous would be Ewok and Jar Jar Sith Lords!Comment

Ewok Jedi would rule. I'm just saying.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

right; So, IF hasbro was going to put out a retro droid toon 3po or R2, it would probably be a repaint of these on a different cardback. Easy enough to customize; just need some yellow and tan paint for the protocol droid and maybe redo r2s dome in a grey instead of silver.Comment

Hmmmm....
I never thought of it, but yeah; if they can do the ice-cream maker guy, why no Duloks? Looking at them now, the cartoons weren't bad. "Ewoks" was kinda Care Bear'd up, but "Droids" had some neat stories. Plenty of material there that I'm surprised hasn't been plundered. (Especially since bits of it have been working their way into cannon.) Same goes for the Marvel comic; although I bet Marvel has a Vulcan death-grip on anything they made. Still; I'd love proper figures of Valence and Jaxxon.

If they were just Repaints, I might get them ... maybe, maybe Not.
How Many R2's and Epo's are out there now ? ... Like 7to10 of each ? ... I'd like new Sculpts. I don't customize Star Wars 3&3/4 inch, No Desire to do so. I play with my Son's figures, and Keep mine on the Cards.... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.

(Especially since bits of it have been working their way into cannon.)You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...Comment

Figures of the Marvel SW characters would be awesome, and I'm still hoping they'll do Valance, Jaxxon, Crimson Jack, etc. some day.
At least we got Lumiya a while back.
I think Marvel sold off the rights to all their original SW characters when they sold the reprint rights of the entire series to Dark Horse, but I'll have to check.
And you gotta love these:

Every year about June several sites have a poll for what figures the fans want starting with sub categories for each film, comics, games, books, and other tv (Droids, ewoks, ewoks tv mvies, clone wars 2003, Holiday special) and as each category closes the categories and winners are rated against each other to try to come up with a list which will not peg warm.
