I picked up a few Matt Trackers at Big Lots for $4 a pop. I loves me some crossover toy action!

The new Star Wars figures are $9.99 here at my local TRU. I don't even look at them anymore.
      It's all good!

I know I couldn't belive when I saw the new cloud car pilot figure that they were £9 each, my biggest shock was that the DCUC figures were 17.99 each, only a few months ago they were 14.99, I just put them back and left I went to get a batman fig for my friends kid for her b'day and they had gone up to £9 in a week. The marvel stuff may be nice but at £8 it's no wonder thay hang about on the shelves. If I have to go to my comic store to get the marvel stuff it's more like £10

I don't get where they think they can charge this for stuff I would buy a load more of the marvel stuff if they were £5 but at £8 I'm only going to get characters I like, and they seem to wonder why somany lines do so bad, to be honest a lot of the movie stuff being turned out isn't even good quality for the price, take the trek and terminator stuff from last year.

Yeah, and TRU are cheap compared to Forbidden Planet's prices for the same stuff.

tell me about it I picked up collosuss, archangel and the juggernaught and they cost me 9.99 each, it's rediculous they don't even import them in anymore to justify the extra costs, they are the UK ones:(

I noticed that Wally World has marked their Star Wars figures down from $7.99 to $4.50 each around my area. That is more realistic for kids.

The people that continue to support the resellers are what keeps driving the costs up and up. If peeps would chill out and wait a bit the prices would have to fall. Instead fear of loss gets them every time.

Case in point. New Star Trek figures are a $1.00 each at Deal$. I bought a ton of them. These were $7.99 at Wally's a couple of months ago. Go figure! No pun intended.

I've been having the same problem with higher prices. A few years ago most 6 inch figures were the same price or cheaper than what 3.75 figures are going for. The marvel universe figures (mostly) are not worth that price tag imo. SW figures are problem too. Has anyone noticed the TRU pilotless Snowspeeder with a jacked up price?

When I do, I might buy it...
That hasn't been released since 96-ish or so.

I bought a JLU Plastic man Today and just like Brian I was shocked at the $8.99 price tag when I know the peg said $6.99. I went back into Target and returned it. I can live without it.

The last time I looked they were marked down to $5.00 each at Wally's all around my area. Did they go back up again?

They're still $5.00 at mine, but walmarts do crazy things all he time, The movie figures are about to be on clearance anyways.(with a new Joe line hitting shelves at all stores in AUG.) The movie likeness stuff didn't do bad, but for a lot of collectors-myself included, The new Pursuit of Cobra line has us eager to see Joes again! And in Oct. on Hasbro's Hub (formally discovery kids) a all new G.I.JOE animated series will make it's debut, Titled G.I.JOE: RENEGADES! At last, G.I.JOE is Back!!!!

Amen to that. It never ceases to amaze me that Wal-mart is one big company yet each store acts like their own company by each one doing things differently. ???

Whatever their strategy actually is it appears to have been working for them thus far.
