Yoda with Hover Chair is a Return of the Jedi figure!? Wha?

That's what I was asking myself. This must be a mistake. What was it, Episode 2 or 3 he had his hover chair? I hope that this is not a new idea Hasbro is doing with Lucas just like the snow speederbikes they did.

About the Hover Chair Yoda, Hasbro has stated that future waves would not all be themed for the same movie like the first couple.

I seen a couple of images, on wave 2 of these..., And I sure hope we get new sculpted figures.... , or something. They looks like figures, that have already been threw 2to4 different packaging with the same exzact figure.

I don't mind re-hash, in the sense, that you get a new sculpt, or something is different, Hell ... I think I gotta about 40 different Luke figures. ... , But I Don't buy new figures, just for the packaging. 10 bucks for a new card, they can keep it.

Here's a look at WAVE-2. I just realized that there's a Sandtrooper in the set. WAVE-2 is supposed to be from Revenge of the Sith. How'd a Sandtrooper get on this list? Weird!

for everyone that's trying to get the boba fett mail in figure. toys r us is having a sale on their plain figures buy one get one half off. those skus will work for the mail in offer. save your money! as an example, the darth vader on the vintage card is the same as the one on the saga card. has removable mask, helmet, etc...

It's hard for me to see the Tauntauns in this pic. The photo is not sharp. But I think it's more than likely that those are the same Tauntauns that were first introduced years ago during the POTF II line. I have not heard of any new Tauntaun that is to be released for later this year

As for a "look into what may be coming out later this year" you need look no farther than these preliminary images from Comicon.

Of course, there are tons of products from the Prequel films and the Clone Wars that are due for later this year. But I'm only really interested in the Original Trilogy stuff. So here goes:

This is a prime example of just how badly some of those Power of the Force II characters from 1995 need to be revisited. Incredible!! "It's a TRAP!!




CAMIE MARSTRAP And LAZE "FIXER" LONEOZONER
These are Luke Skywalker's friends from the cut Toshi Station scene from A NEW HOPE





DARTH VADER





LUKE SKYWALKER: JEDI KNIGHT
This is Luke in the outfit he wore as he confronted Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader aboard Death Star II. This figure even has ball-jointed hips (so he can side-kick Vader down the stairs during their fight)! A HUGE improvement over the crappy DS II Luke we got last year.





SANDTROOPER: Dewback Mount (Clean)
This figure actually was offered up last year as a pack-in with the new Dewback that was a Walmart exclusive. He's got ball-jointed hips that allow him to spread his legs wide. As a vintage-style carded figure, this guy is GORGEOUS!







JABBA THE HUTT'S THRONE
Here is an all-new Jabba, FINALLY with an accurate sculpt and "life-like" skin. He is even (accurately) sculpted with the scar near the tip of his tail! He comes with the throne, Hookah pipe and bowl, removable throw pillows, Salacious Crumb, AND an all-new dancing slave-girl Oola done with super articulation! Two words:
Ho-LEE CRAP!!!!





GAMORREAN GUARD
The 1995 Power of the Force II sculpt was really nice. But now here he is updated with Super-Articulation AND all-three weapons he is seen carrying on-screen! All of that, AND a fur skirt too? Way to go HASBRO!!!





KLAATU "Woof"
I think you have to go all the way back to the vintage Kenner version of this character to find a nice action figure version. This newest figure tops even that!




R2-D2 WITH EJECTABLE LIGHTSABER





WICKET W. WARRICK

Up until now, there has been no better version of Wicket (in my opinion) than the original vintage Kenner version (from 1984). The later 1995 Power Of the Force II version was far too big. But NOW, here comes a version that is not only properly-sized, and beautifully sculpted (right down to his buck-teeth!), but he actually looks like he's got Wicket's on-screen waddle!!! INCREDIBLE!!!!!!




PRINCESS KNEESA

Wicket's little friend. Not seen in Return of the Jedi, but a a main character in the Ewok animated series. She gets the realistic action figure treatment.




WEDGE ANTILLES X-WING PILOT
The only rebel pilot to survive The Battle of Yavin, The Battle of Hoth, AND The Battle of Endor!! So you KNOW he had to get his own figure!





REBEL COMMANDO
For a rag-tag bunch of revolutionaries, the Endor Strike Team sure were stylin' in them trench coats! Wicked figure!






Okay... this I'm really excited about:

My all-time favorite STAR WARS movie battle is the BATTLE OF HOTH from THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. So these items are right up my alley!

Over the years, Hasbro has steadily produced all of the characters, vehicles, and hardware for re-creating the battle. Well this year, they have OUTDONE themselves! In addition to the excellent Rebel Snowspeeder and BIG AT-AT walker that we are getting, Hasbro will also release these two Deluxe "Battle Packs" in the Fall!

On the left, there's the"ATTACK ON HOTH" Battle Pack. It includes a "Hoth Deco" AT-ST "Scout" Walker (introduced last year as a Walmart Exclusive), an E-Web Tripod Blaster, two Imperial Snowtroopers...




... and an all-new AT-ST DRIVER (with walker safety harness)!




On the RIGHT, we've got the "DEFENSE OF HOTH Battle Pack". This beauty has a (bearded) REBEL SNOW TROOPER and K-3P0 Protocol Droid pack in, along with the delayed (variant 2) REBEL SNOW TROOPER (clean shaven).




There is also a laser firing REBEL GUN TURRET (introduced 2 years ago, but now UPDATED with a more detailed door), and an all-new (much more accurate) RADAR LASER CANNON.





I have always LOVED the design of this Dish Laser Cannon. And it has been produced a few times over the years (two vintage Kenner versions, and the last best version produced by Hasbro in 1996). But this new version is INCREDIBLE. It is much, much more accurate right down to the targeting assembly in the rear (with a working maintenance panel) and the power unit and hose.

The BATTLE OF HOTH will most definitely RAGE ON in my living room this winter!

Yup, that Vintage Kenner-styled box is pretty rad

The AT-AT is getting one.



The TIE FIGHTER is getting one.





And the REBEL SNOWSPEEDER is getting one.


I understand that there is also a vintage-style box pending for the TWIN POD CLOUD CAR

I particularly like the fact that the boxes seem to be made of a thicker corrugated type cardboard rather than the thin fragile stuff from the vintage days.
