I was being facetious about them making anything officially. The Hurndall idea would be kind of funny, just as I think there should be a "Three Doctors" version of Hartnell in a bubble. As to customizing, I guess the Tarkin figure could be converted for the movie Doctor (unless there are some Hammer figures I don't know of), and if there are Bean figs, then there's Rowan Atkinson (I really wish someone had produced a Black Adder set). For Joanna Lumley, I don't suppose there's a Purdey New Avengers fig anywhere?

Seriously, I always hoped for a good DW line, using the wealth of options from the classic series for a variety of ideas. The Brigadier to me is the ultimate figure for different appearances: Colonel, then Brig in combat gear, the Brigade Leader from "Inferno," in Tartan gear from "Terror of the Zygons," the two versions from "Mawdryn Undead," how he appeared in "Five Doctors," and the aging soldier in his last series appearance. Now we could even have a Sarah Jane Adventures offering.

Wanted: Legends of the West (Empire & Excel) and other western historically-based figures. Send me an offer.
Also interested in figures based on literary characters.

Besides which, they were Dalek Movies not Doctor Who Movies.
Cushing's Doctor is a human inventor, not a Timelord.

This is the set I've been waiting for and the price is cheaper than what I would have spent on them individually. I do think the the Third Docs coat is too bright though but I may paint it darker.

I too am looking forward to this set. Although I fear how much they are going to charge us in the United States for it. $100? $150? $200? Underground Toys tends to pad the exchange rate on this Dr Who stuff.

*Grumble* I already opened the Hartnell and Troughton I paid $40 ea for!

Still this set looks really good. The 8th Dr., Sly with the darker jacket, The Alternate Tom Baker figure. Maybe the Pertwee figure's jacket color will be corrected in time. This looks too good to pass on. I better sell some stuff on eBay to get cash.

Ray, I love to order from Whona but they never do pre-orders. You can place an order right now with Big bad toystore.com or Entertainment Earth.com and not miss out.

Maybe this was talked about before, but I wonder how they wrangled the eighth Doctor to be made.

Doesn't every company in the world own a piece of that movie ?

The movie itself may be a problem to distribute but I'm pretty sure the BBC has always had a lockdown on merchandising the likeness of Paul McGann as the Doctor.

He was practically the face of Who merch up until the new series.

That's true, even the classic DVD releases carry the movie's Dr Who font style.

I love that packaging. I must fork over the cash for this one. I will regret it if I don't.

                          Thanks for posting that Brian!

At what point/story did Tom Baker wear a grey coat? The Android Invasion?

I think he wore it on and off for like 3 seasons.

I kind of remember him having it in The Sun Makers -- which is later than one would expect

I think he wore it the Krynoid one ( seeds of doom? ) and Fang Rock too, along with a couple of others i can't remember.

The expression reminds me of his face in the main titles.

The only one i'm not that keen on is the Pertwee, his jacket is too green and it makes the whole figure looks cartoonish.

It looks like Character have used the top half from the Green Death figure and the bottom half from the Death to the Daleks figure to make an outfit he never wore on the show.
Personally i think they should have gone with the Sea Devil Figure or done the 5 Doctors outfit.
agreed in a softer green it would have been more correct
