Is this guy out yet? I pre-ordered mine and am chomping at the bit for him to show up. I'd like to see them make some characters that haven't been made yet (Hourman, f.ex.), but would also like to see them revisit Aquaman at some point, now that they're trying to sculpt more realistically. The Golden Age Green Lantern also looks like they're stepping their sculpts up a notch, and I'm glad for it.

I think this is the beauty of DC Direct... they put out so many different Batman variants, there is likely one that suits your fancy.

I think Ross' realistic artwork is ideally suited to the level of detail you can accomplish for the 13" figure.

I would like to see more Kingdom Come figures over Justice though... Wonder Woman in particular.

Got him today, and I'm not going into a review, but be advised he only comes with two sets of hands and neither will hold his batarang. I've seen pics in reviews were he can; however, mine only came with two sets (one closed fists, the other open like he's swimming) and there is no spot for an extra set. I don't know how those other guys got an extra set of hands, but I do not think that's standard with these. Just a heads-up.

Check behind the open-handed ones, they should be behind those in the box. I thought mine only came with two sets of hands, too, until I got a strong light and peeked into the back of the box.

Thanks a million, Del. Their separate little tray had popped out when I was opening it and bounced under the table. I'm much happier about it now. I'm really glad with the direction they're taking sculpt-wise, and can't wait to see what future offerings they have (Mike Grell's Warlord would be a cool choice, f.ex.).

Glad you found them. Yeah, there are so many DC characters I'd like to see done in this format. Unfortunately, this Batman is the last 13" figure they've solicited in many months. They used to do one per month. Apparently, official word from DC Direct is that this line is "resting." I guess only time will tell if it will ever "wakes up" and we see any new figures.

I love this figure - while I've never liked Alex Ross's version of Superman, I love his Batman, and to me this figure captured him perfectly.
