New Justice Batman DC Direct 13"

This is seriously cool. DC Direct is really bringing their A game lately. After seeing GA Green Lantern and KC Superman, I was curious if they could do better. This figure looks amazing.

I hate Alex Ross's gigantic "Bat Smear", but then I dislike Alex Ross almost completely.

but yeah, I don't care for it. Not when they haven't done Doctor Fate, Doctor Mid-Nite, or a thousand other characters in this scale yet.

If this helps keep the line going, I guess I approve, but personally I can't stomach Alex Ross' work. I would much rather see this release slot be occupied by Hawkman, or Firestorm, or Dr Fate, or ... just about anyone else.

I like the figure. I don't care much for Ross's style. But the figure on it's own is good.

We already have the gray and black, and blue and gray Batman costumes. It's way too early to make yet another one.

I'm sure I'm in the extreme minority, but I really dig Ross' work with DC. I am a huge Kingdom Come fan and I really liked the Justice series. Again, I know I'm the only one. This figure is very, very cool and is a dead-on likeness of the Justice Batman. Now, I would much rather have seen a new character done instead of another Batman. Deathstroke, DR. Midnite and Booster Gold would have been fantastic. Maybe sometime...

No, you're not the only one who likes Ross...I do as well. I just don't think that Head Sculpt is a good representation of his style. The smaller Ross Batman is a MUCH better Sculpt.

I already have The Grey and Black Batman and The Batman begins one.......I like it but there are other figures from this line that i still want to get.....

The sculpt looks much harsher in the wide view, but in the closeup it's pretty good approximation of Ross' Batman. It's nice, but I still like the classic Blue/gray Batman better. Other than the long ears and huge symbol (which I like, he cribbed it from Joe Staton), it's pretty close to the previous black/gray Batman. Better cape though.
