      At the time, not great for Scott, but ultimately it created a wonderful story arc for him to find his "edge" again through X-Factor, Jim Lee's X-Men relaunch and on up through the current issues where he's out from under Professor X's shadow and leading the entire X-Nation.

      Barry Windsor Smith's two "Lifedeath" issues are wonderful and it's a crime that they aren't in print as trades right now.

      Ah, so many great memories. I had just as a young teen started buying comics weekly with Uncanny 194, I think it was, and Alpha Flight 12. Byrne and Claremont pulled me back in to comics as a teenager. I've reread these issues so many times over the years. Good stuff.
