DCU are too Expensive!!

I bought my kids some of the early waves, they never really took to them like they did the JLU size.

By contrast, my son seems to be getting more and more into these, and hardly touches his JLU figures anymore. He picked a great time to get into them heavily! I'll be broke!

He also has several DCD figures that he uses with his DCUC, but every single one of them has either broken or has loose joints. Those figures are NOT intended for any kind of play at all.

I found the Cyborg Superman today and it was $14.97. Not so bad if you find them one at a time or so but I'm screwed if I ever walk in and see a whole set on the shelf.

I did see a Vigilante at Target today and assumed it was $12.99, but I didn't check.

They bumped up to 17.99 a piece up here, and some of the two packs are up to 34.99!!!! (I know thats meant to be a deal, but its still pricey!!) I like the line, but never got into it figuring it would be all supes and Bats. Now they are starting to come out with JSA characters, but the price is way too steep! Same with the animated Bat stuff. I like the looks of it, but its way too expensive to buy. (that said, I did buy the Grodd/Batman set today, just because Grodd looks Mego scale. Put him on the shelf and he fits right in...tad small, but the look is right!).

I just picked up the entire series 11 and they were 14.97 at walmart.

I only have four DCU and they were bought just before KB went belly up. I stopped collecting at $13 so $15 is the final nail in the coffin.

I scored a Deadshot at Target today (suprisingly)....he's from Wave 9 and besides The Guardian I saw at TRU a few weeks back, he's the only one from that wave I ever saw.
They also had a Booster Gold and a Blue Beetle there as well from the Atom-Smasher wave.

They are too expensive, but they are so awesome, it doesn't stop me. Plus, if I don't care about the BAF parts, which I usually don't (I am not a completest), I sometimes score the loose figures on eBay for around $10 or less with shipping. So many people sell the figures loose straight off the card without the BAF parts.

I found Vigilante at a Meijer's today, and even though he was probably the figure from that wave I was least excited about, I still bought him. I was so surprised to see him, and still at $12.97, I couldn't pass him up.

Target had the figures back at full price ($12.97). Why is Wal-Mart so high? Low prices my arse!

I found a SteppenWolf at Walmart on Saturday, but passed on it. There really is nothing in Wave 11 that I really want.

I'm too far along to stop now. But I've missed some from Waves 8 and 9 and most of the 2-packs from Matty.com. The only one I've seen in the store and passed on was Captain Atom in the gold/red suit. I just didn't care for that one.

yeah the figures from wave 11 are not the greatest, BUT that kilowog collect and connect figure rocks!!
