New, BIGGER, Star Wars AT-AT

If you visit any of the Star Wars boards, rumors have been flying of a new, bigger AT-AT for the 3 3/4" figures this year from Hasbro. The first pic from China has surfaced...



It's hard to tell how much bigger this version is than the vintage one... but you can see where the back opens (to launch a speeder bike) and it looks like the side opens up in two flaps... top and bottom, split horizontally. The cockpit is rumored to fit 3 figures, two seated and one standing.

but just like the recent falcon crash... out in uk stores at £150 $300 at the time now they are rock bottom at £50 a pop and the likes of toys r us, smyths are full of them... why do they come out with these huge toys that no one can afford or be bother to collect

Target has a new listing for 'super vehicle' at $100... people who have called Hasbro Customer Service have been told $114... untill it's officially anounced at Toy Fair next month, it's all a guess.

If they're willing to take on the huge expense of having the larger scale vehicles made I wish they would do a deluxe Death Star playset. Something with lights and electronic sound effects would be awesome!

It was the same scale as its vintage counterpart but with a few design modifications.

They did,a POTF2 AT-AT i think its the same size as the saga series one from 2006 aswell.

Bigger is not always better. I bought the Millennium Falcon for my 6 year-old son this Christmas, and even though the extra details are really cool the ship is simply too big for him to make fly. Because all the ship can do is set he has already lost interest. I say keep them small enough to be interesting to play with. Collecting is cool, but watching my kids play with them is better.
