Mattel is going to show all these great looking DC figures and be like "coming soon exclusively at Walmart!" lol.

I'm actually more intrigued by Mcfarlane pivoting to Marvel figures. Albeit sounds like it will be pretty limited as far character selection and releases per year.

I don't think McFarlane can make Marvel action figures. Just statues. Unless something has changed, Hasbro has action figure rights locked down, especially in the 6"-7" format.

I think McFarlane is talking about making Marvel 7-inch action figures limited to ones he drew and with an “elite” price point.

SDCC will have information that Mcfarlane Toys will have some Marvel 7" action figures . it sounds like these will be limited and sold at Mcfarlane toys but will have articulation . Hasbro is supposed to keep the Legends line at 6.5 ". Diamond select wen't out of buisness Nov 2025 on Marvel Select 7"
figures so maybe this is the replacement. The promo that I saw on you tube was mostly Spiderman and the X-men

Thanks for the info on the McFarlane/Marvel figures. I hadn't heard about this, which is suprising. But of course the toy news outlets I usually visit seem more interested in reporting movie news lately than keeping up with toy inudstry talk. They're liable to go down the road of Action Figure Insider, just posting press releases.

It was listed along within a recent massive dc multiverse leak list and kind of got buried i think cause not many are talking about it. So that's probably why you missed it.
Also, i literally think the same thing when i go to TNI these days (i assume thats who you meant) and scroll through all the entertainment news. They seem to be slowly turning into AFI. Another great toy site that I havent been to in years cause it turned into news about Legoland openings and less about action figures.

Yes, it was Toy News International (TNI) that I was talking about. You'd think they'd have an article on the leak list and potential for Marvel McFarlane figures, but after reading what was posted here, I had to do a Google search and came up on a Reddit post about them.

And I really don't understand what AFI has become. It's more or less a click ad farm that runs press releases. Very little creative content on toys.

I saw it on a video on you tube of Leaks and Rumors for McFarlane Toys. He is cancelling some DC and will be doing some Marvel 7" and SDCC should tell us . Spiderman is a no brainer
for Todd and X-men were shown on a animated promo pic. Todd is also doing Jim Lee Wildcat figures of Spartan and others so hopefully Todds Marvel 7"
                          might include Jim Lee X-men

If it really is going to be limited to what Todd has worked on it actually isn't a whole lot.
                            -Spider-Man and his rogues gallery
                            -Hulk and related characters
-80s X-Men (from his Marvel Tales covers)
                            -Liefeld era X-Force
-Captain America, Ghost Rider, Juggernaut, Sabretooth, Red Skull maybe...
Hmmm...on second thought, if this is for a small number of releases per year (say 4 or 5) there's probably enough for them to run for a while.

With Marvel select gone (Diamond select ) there has been missing 7" line . I would be good with Spiderman , Hulk , X-men,X-force that fit in exactly with the Mcfarlane DC.
Todd already has a ton of body molds on DC that can be redone in to Marvels . one rumor or speculation was at least 1 a month on you tube.
Spiderman is a no brainer and since Todd did a lot of Batman you can expect a lot of Spidey Villans , Daredevil ,Punisher ,Venom , Green Goblin, Doc Ock,
                              Rhino , Lizard etc .
