Packaged and presented well for a younger, general retail consumer. Really hope these work for Mattel & DC and get into more kids hands. For $12.99 for 6.2 inches it's not a bad deal with those weapons included.

Has there been word when to expect them in stores/on shelves?

These are pretty cool, I like how they positioned the Flash running.

I agree, the Flash does look good. I would pass on the others.

I got the first wave from BBTS and for 12 bucks a figure these are solid offerings. I was expecting plastic or vinyl capes but happy they are cloth. My robin though was packed without his utility belt so that's a bummer. The upcoming adult collector/elite should really be amazing considering how well the basic line here is.

Seeing these at Target, I was pleasantly surprised at the design, packaging, and seeming quality. i hope they do Aquaman and Captain Marvel.

Bbts is selling them for 14, no? I know the difference is trivial but i keep seeing people say they are 12 and i have yet to see them at that price between amazon, bbts and ee. Regardless though, still a great price imo. Not sure this line (or the adult collector line) will be for me but i guess we'll see as it rolls on.
They would definitely have my attention if they were to make super deepcuts like mark shaw manhunter or general glory..

So I managed to find Batman at Super Target just see if the weapon rack would work with Super Powers. Surprisingly in my eyes they work better than the 6 inch figures.

I like that they are using the updated Dick Grayson Robin look from the current World’s Finest comics.

The Mattel collectors line is going to show up at San Diego comic con. The first wave was leaked they are 70's versions of Batman , Superman,
Wonderwoman, Joker and a Deathstroke . The collectors figures are painted with more detail just they like are doing with Masters of Universe

I picked up Robin and two friends of mine graciously sent me Batman and Flash. These are great figures with a lot of play and display value, especially for the price point. If Mattel can do this with the "play" line", I can't wait to see what they have in store for the collector range.

They look really nice. I think they look better than the McFarlane figures.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I agree with you overall. McFarlane has done a few truly great DC figures, but they are incredibly inconsistent in sculpting and style. There's no "house style" beyond the kind of wonky anatomy with elongated limbs and torsos. They have improved a lot since they first got the license, and I do like many of the figures from the past couple of years, but the aesthetic is still off for me.
