Those releases were from later waves as I recall, so maybe they wanted to start with the closest proximity to the movies from the first waves? It seems like a pretty weak line of logic, but its all I can think of.

I saw the new Spin Masters figures in person this weekend. The proportions don't seem quite as wonky in person, and at first glance, to my old eyes, they look like straight up reissues from the old molds. I know they're not, but it was kind of weird seeing them on the pegs like that. It was 1995 all over again. If only!
I didn't buy them, because I think I still have most of them MOC (the ones I wanted back then anyhow). Still neat they are available for those that want them.Comment
