Oh man, even if they were worth double how does it justify the monthly storage fees?

I have a friend who calls me when people bring in old toys to his store, most of the calls here revolve around "rare" McFarlane KISS sets.

I get those same phone calls; people wanting to sell comic book collections with hard to find books from the "90's", and the incredibly rare McFarlane toys.

In some ways I feel really bad for these people, because most of the time the collectibles were purchased by someone who was hoping to turn them around for a profit in 10 or twenty years. Now here we are, 10 or 20 years later, and the stuff they bought is worth less than what they paid for it.

My advice to folks is this. If you are trying to invest money go talk to the bank--they can usually help in that area. If you have money to spend and love what you are collecting--then do it for the fun, not for the profit.

I never once even thought about the storage expense he was incurring. Maybe he could have traded them to the owner to pay the storage fees for keeping them there? Nah! Probably not worth enough for that either.

Poor McFarlane. So many sports collectibles to buy, and so few Spawn figures left to sell.

I'm a Member of the Spawn Figure web site...
Just kinda Had been, ever since it was put up.
I never bought anything on a regular basis, just something here or there...
I think I have been a Member for the better part of like 5 yrs..
They had never, never sent me an email about anything in the past ever. Even when I bought something,.. it would just magically show up at the house.
Well, for about the last 6 months or so,.. all of a sudden they send me an email, about every couple of weeks, about sales and clearance Items. I think they are having an extremely difficult time moving anything anymore.
