GI Joe Movie Figures

I just saw them setting up an endcap display in Target so I think they should be hitting by Sunday.

I picked up some of these figures today. I really like them.

Officially, they arent suppossed to hit the pegs until the 6th (Monday), but stores have been putting them out early. I saw them in a local Wal Mart yesterday....The figures are ok, but the accessories are kinda goofy...at least on the few I looked at.

On a sort of brighter note,needing the space for GI Joe, Wal Mart moved all the Terminator crud to a back end cap and bumped the prices way down. I know a few folks were holding off on picking these up until they hit clearance.

I am torn on these. I Love G.i.Joe and have almost all of the Vintage 3.75" figures. I just do not like what Cobra Commander looks like. I am not keen on the X-Men suits either. I am looking forward to seeing how they do the movie, but I am thinking I may pass on these. Although I always say that and before long I either cave in and get them or impulse buy when clearanced.

I am having a lot of trouble with this movie so far. I know here he goes complaining again. So outside of Mego being the first toy i remember as my first real toy memory so it will have that forever, Star wars is my all time favorite. I hope i can say that and get away with it. Second to only SW is Gi-Joe. I should be peeing my pants waiting for this movie but with every trailer i see i want to see it less. Now there is no way i'm not going to see it but i honestly think this movie is going to be gi-joe in name and a few character names only. I mean hello how can you have Destro without the mask? Here is what is bugging me. The joes were always individuals who had a look all to themselves, i want to see Bazooka with a red number 14 football jersey on. Wild bill better have his guns and cowboy hat, Flint his hat and gloves, These characters had their own identity. Not some enhancement suit. I really hope i go and get blown away and i am going to try and see it with an open mind. After all it is a movie once again for the kids. Just wondering what some of you have to say.
Also if anyone is interested i have a bunch of vintage stuff and a ton of 25th anniversary stuff i have been considering selling. I could never get even close to what i spent back as i went buck wild with the 25th ann figs.

I spent a few minutes playing with them at the TRU this weekend, my kids looked really bored, G.I. Joe to them is my Adventure Team guys.

I went out in search of these this Morning...
Finally came across a Handfull of these at Target ...
I Guess Aparently Not Counting the Vehicles,.. a Total of 37 3 &3/4 inch Figures have hit the Shelves for this Line. I believe,.. I only saw 1 of the Waves,.. & there are 3 different ones to be Had.
I picked up
Snake Eyes
Storm Shadow
Baroness
& A Surprise for Me,.. Shipwreck,... Which over all.. , is a really fantastic Figure imo.

Those were the Ones I kinda Liked the Most... I wished I had saw the Snake Eyes with Timber,.. Cover Girl & General Hawk,.. but they didn't seem to Have that Wave yet.

Scarlet is the Most Disapointing Figure, imo. She looks like the side of her Head is Shaved,... & is Just over all Ugly... Monkey Face Leia Anyone ?

Confusing though,... It seems the Last Few Yrs,.. Heavy Duty Seems to Always replace RoadBlock,.. & then On 1 Cartoon I saw,.. they are suppost to be brothers. I wonder if there is something More there,.. that for some Reason Hasbro Seems to favor him over RoadBlock,.. the Idea Pretty much apply's to Both characters,.. Meaning they are Both "Heavy Machine Gunners" .

Another thing I saw was a real extreme likeness to Flint,... However the figure was called another Name...

The Likeness's on these character are really kinda well done imo... The figures look like the actor's for the Most part,... which in this scale,.. I was Impressed.

The Packaging Over all imo Suck Arse.
They really Shoulda Rolled with the Classic Retro Styled Cards, with larger images of the characters,.. & the classic File card Presented,.. But they decided to roll with the Wolverine Origion Packaging,.. Which seems to be the Go-to design for Hasbro since the Launch of the Marvel Toys.

All the Figures Come with these Big Arse Rocket Dildo Gun things,.. that are as Big , if not Bigger , than the Figures themselves. I dunno the Logic Behind that stuff,... But I don't feel it's needed at all.

Again,.. 7.99 ,.. These figures are way over priced imo too.
But..., I like the 4 I got.

I've been collecting these for awhile and i'm quite dissapointed the 25th line is coming to an end and the movie figs are the ones they are rolling out.

shipwreck is a nice figure, impact armor duke is nice and a handful of others. and the vehicles look pretty good too.
hasbro also just aired Gi Joe resolute on adult swim a gi joe cartoon geared towrds adults. I think its off adult swim now but go to youtube and type in gi joe resolute there are 11 parts and people actually get shot and die and the fight between snake eyes and storm shadow is kick ***. Some resolute figures have hit the stores already. and i hope they are going to make more.
