The goalies were the coolest ones for the soccer stuff.

I should pay attention a bit more to the soccer figures, find out who are the most collectible ones. I still see these loose in box lots of figures and happy meal toys. Like Adam West said, they were giving them away at KB Toys and also in places like DollarTree for a buck apiece.

Sadly, I can't see a future where SLUs go up in value again, at least not to the extent of their prior glories. Maybe some of the key rookies will stay up, but I think there are just too many "MOC" figures in sealed plastic boxes, packed away in collections. Go to any baseball card shop and you'll still see a wall full at top guide price.

I have only one that I know of - The 12 inch figure of Troy Aikman. To look at it you would think Hasbro made it. Complete cloth outfit, including removable helmet. Pretty cool.

I like the stuff from '91,the ones that came with the coin. At the time I thought "That's neat. Just like the Star Wars figures."

I agree,I wonder why they stopped that..I know they added the Posters in 92 and extra card in 90,but that was it after that

the mcfarlane guys are well sculpted, etc... but i kinda miss the simplicity and "likeness" of the slu figures! you have to admit, for their size, the sculpts were pretty good!

I have the USA OLyimpic team, first jordan, kareem, Magic from the late 80's. All you sports fan out there need to give me a shout if you would like to buy rookie cards or auto's of your faves! I have a huge collection of sports memorabilia that I would be interrested in selling or a cash/trade deal on mego stuff. Hey 2cool I have a mint Dam Marino rookie and you Frisco fans I have a few rookies and autos as well. LMK. TC
