Marvel Legends Ares Wave }

Hey Guys,

Anyone Know where these are gonna Be ? They Smell like a Walmart Wave to me... Because of all the Figures you Half to build for the Ares... Seems a bit like the GiantMan Series.



Anyhow,.. If you are Buying just a Figure here,.. or there. & Are an "Opener" ... I am Buying & looking for the Ares Parts.

These are indeed Wal-mart exclusives. I picked up War Machine and "Orange" Human Torch last weekend. They also had the Scarlet Spider and Heroes Reborn Iron Man but I passed on them. I later changed my mind and went back to get them and they were gone.

How tall is the Ares figure? I thought he was regular size and wouldn't warrant a BAF.

The Michael Crawford review (by guest reviewer Kyle Robinson) says:
"...Ares (which doesn’t scream BAF at only 7 inches but is impressive none the less)..."

and goes on to say...

"But is Ares a great figure? YES, once built you will fall in love with his detail
and articulation.... The only reason I didn’t give him 5 stars is cause, frankly,
he is small for a BAF....Ares seems to be a little more well crafted than your
basic figure even though he lacks BAF stature we all want. The paint apps
on him a are TOPS! The Skull on his chest is painted to perfection and if
your a Ares fan then you should probably shell out the 80 bucks and buy the
whole set before we see the price jump Target had with Marvel Legends."

You Saying that this wave is Only 10 bucks a Piece ? Damn !
I just bought Both The IronMen on Ebay... figuring Tax & the Price for a figure at 14.99 ... I was only about 3.65 over a figure. I thought I just scored a Deal.

I am heading to Wal mart today and I will pick up some more of these if they have them. If anyone is interested I will sell them for what it cost me ($11.08 with tax) plus shipping.

I was thinking that Ares is too small to be a BAF too, but after looking at the head sculpt and helmet it looks like it will be a nice figure.

I definately don't need the Vision.... I already have the Vision from the Rider wave from a few yrs back,.. I scored him along time ago ... & I made One too. But I do want his Ares Piece.

Yeah I would love to have an Ares. Besides Sentry he's one of the coolest Marvel Heavy-hitters in quite a while. I guess I'll have to shell out the 80 clams he's fetching on Ebay as of now. (Actually someone has $140.00 on him BEFORE shipping.)
