That Paddle Wagon still goes for a few hundred quid MIB. I've been looking out for a nice one for my collection.

I picked up a complete set of 1978 DC Heroes Stickers from the Sunbeam Bread promotion. I'd love to find an original checklist pamphlet. I had one as a kid, but I colored it and actually did the fun games on several of the pages. I think it probably got tossed in the last few months when my folks were cleaning out our old house in preparation for a sale. I can only hope that it might be in a box somewhere in my house or still in an unsorted box at my parents new house.

Those Sunbeam cards have some really nice Giordano art right?

I couldn't tell you who drew them, but I love the style.

Here are some pics from a few auctions.

Probably my last purchase for a bit, as I am winding down a month long Spidey splurging spree. Came back to collecting this past month after taking an entire year off. We're expecting a baby girl in exactly ten days so my time and finances will be elsewhere...

                Wow, I had those Walkie-Talkies! That's a nice set!

That Sunbeam art is definitely Giordano. Oddly enough I have a Duncan Yo-Yo that flickers between Clark and Superman, and the Clark image is very similar to the pic of him at his typewriter here.

It's been a bit since I got any non-Mego vintage, but earlier this summer I got a Captain Action Aquaman mask, and a CA Captain America suit with mask, boots, belt and pistol.

                  I knew you'd know Chris!

Cool on the Captain America set, it's my favourite Captain Action costume.

I can't remember to pick up my cell phone in the morning, but I can identify a comic artist's work from a mile a way. A fair trade, I think.

I think Cap has the best CA suit too. He really makes the poor Mego look like a step down by comparison.

I really like the Superman outfit too. I have Superboy, but not Sueprman. Need to get on that.

Whoa, that Metropolis playset box is beautiful. Neal Adams...but painted!!! Gorgeous. Obviously made during the first Superman movie push.

I got lucky and found a perfect loose Starsky at my local comic shop for 6 bucks. So I had to get a Hutch online. Scored him for 9.99 + 6 shipping so both figures original and complete for 22 bucks, ain't bad.
Waiting on a Fist Fighting Riddler, King Arthur, and Ivanhoe. All original and complete.
Scored an Invisible Girl, Hulk, Penguin and Jet Jungle from Coach last week in a trade.
So all in all a bunch of new members to my little toy family. I hadn't gotten any megos in a while so I went on a little spree.

My earliest recollections was wanting more Captain Action/Action Boy sets (back in '68/'69), so I collected up a few sets a decade ago. I'm getting ready to part with my minty C8/9, loose Aquaman set. I paid $300 for it, hoping to get it all back.

All I'm keeping is my Action Boy sets, the PM Hornet and my beloved Captain America set.. Got him riding on a GI Joe WWII Harley with the Classik Plastik red gloves and larger shield. He simply rocks ~ See the Gallery for the awesome picture..

(I too was VERY disappointed with the Mego Cap, but I understand keeping the production costs down..)
