Anybody remember Sesame Street full size hand puppets ?

These were made by Child Guidance (Topper and then Gabriel), the same line that had the finger puppets I love so much.

Yes. I had Bert and Ernie. Very sturdy. Accidently whacked myself in the face once. Man did it hurt.

Oh gosh, seeing the photo reminded me that I had Ernie and Bert as a very little boy.i can remember the unique rubber/plastic smell they had! Oh how I loved those puppets! Thanks for sparking that memory.

I remember they came with hand controllers --- Basically heavy plastic loops connected with a mid section

Kinda like John Lennon glasses with an extended middle section

Must be kinda rare cause I never see them sold with loose puppets

My 3 year old loves my old Ernie and Bert. They’ve lost their hands after all these years but that doesn’t seem to matter.
I’ve got memories of my brother and I throwing these heavy rubber puppets at each other during childhood tussles. Hahaha.

I remember getting Ernie one christmas. That was the only one I ever had.
