Toys you didn't like as a kid.

We always talk about the toys we liked or always wanted. So, I thought it would be fun, for a change, to talk about the stuff we didn't like and never wanted.

I never wanted an Easy Bake or any of those Snow Cone machines.
Baby dolls. I didn't like anything that cried or made potty. I found it depressing.
Milky the Cow. I remember my older sister really wanted one, one Christmas. I never got the appeal of those.
Ventriloquist dolls. I thought the were creepy then and still do.
Mrs. Beasley doll. Gave me nightmares after seeing it in a Christmas catalog. There is just something evil about that thing.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Those damn creepy Sunshine Family dolls!

I had a Hugo Man of a Thousand Faces, and my little cousin was absolutely terrified by him. And of course to this day we still give him crap about it.

I was an 80' s kid , so with so many cool action figures I use to get mad when I'd get a lego set but I like them now.

Cabbage Patch Kids...I never understood the appeal of those things. Ugly beyond belief.

As a child, I wasn't exactly into building toys. I like them now, but back then, I got a deluxe bucket of Lincoln Logs that only got used when my boy cousins came over.

I didn't want Mrs. Beasley, either. I didn't see the appeal of a grandma type doll.

            Didn't like Micronauts, still don't.

Didn't like Mouse Trap, or any other games where you had to build it and then play.

I thought Super Joe was a cheap version of GIJoe.

And I felt bad for the kids who only got Mego Pocket Heroes and CAH to play w/ instead of the full 8 inch, clothed, accessorized action figures most of us know and love.

              Skateboard

It's like everybody I knew had one but I had no interest

Might have been because all we had around were dirt roads

I wasn't big on Voltron, Robotech, etc. Also, I found Transformers to be too brittle for my brand of play time.

I loved the He-Man cartoon but hated the toys. I thought their proportions looked too babyish. Now, with Super7 doing Kenner style, I get my wish!

No offense intended. I was at the wrong age for them, and they had great, great characters, but I just didn't like the toy aesthetic.
