You can see my three mini remco monsters in the catalog mailer box in the pictures. Same thing.
Thanks, the reason I ask, is when I google images of the Mini Monsterizer, I see two different versions. The ones that you and Palitoy both have on this thread, show a black wheel with a neon green light button, with a black battery cover. There appears to be another version, or at least pictures of another version, where it is the opposite... A neon green wheel and a black light button, with a neon green battery cover. Like these:

    Any idea for the variation?

Here are my two mini's. I think they are more rare than the larger version, don't know any production numbers though. Looks like there are variations. Both of mine have green cranks and battery covers instead of black and black light buttons and straps instead of green. Very interesting?

Great looking collection! Interesting that you also have the opposite colored pieces on your Monsterizers. I wonder what that was all about...

I suppose the only reason I'm interested is that several people have mentioned both a "glow" and potential "non-glow" (which nobody knows about or even knows if it exists) version of the mini Monsterizer.

I have two questions, why would they hypothetically make a "non glow" version of the Mini Monsterizer to begin with, since it wouldn't really serve any purpose if not to make the figures glow? Secondly, could these different color pieces be a key identifying a "non glow" version of the toy?

        Am I overthinking this?

I guess my reason for thinking that it is rare, is that in searching forums, including this one, for information on it... people always seem to mention how hard it is to find. Words like "impossible" are used often when describing the search. I myself have been looking casually for about a year, mainly on Ebay (seems the only place I have a shot at finding one), and they just never ever seem to come up for auction, so it seemed to back up those claims.

That's why I was asking about production numbers... But interesting that many people on this thread seem to have them.

Those of you that do have them, did you have a hard time finding them or where they readily available?

That some great shots! I don't know what the glow version would be, unless that strap and button glows? Mine does not glow and I also picked up mine about 15 years ago when you could buy 80's toys for next to nothing. Don't know how I ended up with two but I know I didn't pay more than $50 for each one. They are cool as hell, probably since I had one when I was a youngster.

Christ almighty if I only knew then-- In my neck of the woods I used to see the mini one on clearance for a few years at Lloyds dept store and I also did see it at one point in Kaybee. Never did buy it because I thought it was "cheap" looking and that it did not seem to do much of anything other than light up. Then again I was never a super huge Universal monster fan, but I did go through quite a lot of the figures themselves (both glow and non glow). Nice thread and good to know I dropped the ball again (the first was getting rid of the Mego GAH white Volkswagen)
