I also like the Dr. Who line.
Can't find many pictures though.

I have to agree with some of the choices so far, Micronauts aliens, Mego Mad Monsters and Aurora model packaging are all awesome. The POTA Palitoy painted packaging is great too, I wish they did a different illustration for each card though. There's just something about the painted illustrations that really does it for me, reminds me of Gold Key comics like Magnus Robot Fighter and Tono & Kono the Jungle Twins and vintage Amazing Fantasy mags from the 40's. Thanks for the replies. AndyComment

Any of the GI joe figure long boxes
GI Joe adventure Team sets
Aurora Monster models (especially forgotten prisoner)
Action Man "escape from colditz"
Gabriel Lone Ranger
Action jackson painted outfit sets
Madelman
And although it's not package design (but I feel it fits in nicely) the paintings shown at the end of Captain Scarlet episodesComment

I agree with the Matchbox art. There is such "motion" in the art.
Evel Kenevel is good, too.
I also liked the art from the Mattel Battlestar Galactica figures and
and (not a toy) but the box art from all of the original AMT model kits for Star Trek. It reminded me of the art from the James Blish adaptations. It's all good!Comment

Love the art from the Palitoy's Planet of the Apes. Does any one know who the artist was for that?

everything listed so far has some great box/art work. I was always partial to this one as well as it has a custom drawn Godzilla fighting a custom made monster
