I love the figures from the first movie. So the first 21 or so. My favorite is probably just good ol' Luke. He was the first one I ever had. I collect Star Wars toys from the first movie. The later figures do nothing for me, especially Jedi figures.Comment

Farmboy Luke ... I always wanted him as a kid, but never could find him. As for one I had as a kid it had to be Luke Jedi.
I also love Han in carbonite ... just a cool figure. Even if it wasn't the way he was in the movie I thought it was a nice touch to have the carbon block see thought so you could tell the figure was in thereComment

I like Greedo and the Gam. Guard and a lot of others. As far as true vintage first release figures it would definitely have to be the Star Wars Storm Trooper for me. He looked pretty cool and still kind of does considering the age of the toy. He looked even better until the newer pose able and more realistic Storm Troopers were made. Now the vintage Storm Trooper suddenly looks less appealing to me although I am still glad to have held on to all of my original Star Wars toys and collectibles from when I was a kid.Enjoy what you like, and let others enjoy what they like. Too much space. Need more toys!

Darth Vader, Stormtrooper, Death Star Commander, Greedo, Hammerhead, Boba Fett,
Bossk, IG-88, Emperor, Luke in Stormtrooper Disguise (heck, every Luke variation!)
And, purely for asthetics, the award goes to the CLOUD CAR PILOT---boy, he
was delicate looking!
And, yes, t2cool---who DIDN'T like that Jabba figure??---but I don't really count him"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment

should have the name: "yodaneverworeasnakeinthefilms"
or at least had it as a sig"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. My favorite vintage figures were Boba Fett and blue Snaggletooth. The anticipation of Fett's arrival in my mailbox was excruciating.
My favorite toy of the Kenner line was easily the Millenium Falcon.ScottComment

I'm one that still loves the original 12 most. It was just so new and exciting to try and find them all. The Jawa was the hardest. When I finally did, it was a bit of a shock to see him dressed in cloth as none of the other 12 had anything cloth and the pictures of the Jawa, up to that point, showed him in a vinyl cape. I liked the cloth but thought it was kind of lame that you had to take it off to show his bandoliers.
I really like the "pairs" in the first twelve. Having Han and Chewie together or R2 and 3po just seemed to hit the right chemicals in the gray matter or something. Like Batman and Robin, Lone Ranger and Tonto, or Kirk and Spock.Comment

I can say with total honesty....that every single one of the first 21 figures (except for Leia) was my absolute favorite at one time or another. I wafted back and forth depending on mood.
Luke was first, so he got lots of play.
From Sears, I got the Cantina aliens (not the set) and loved Hammerhead most. (I do wish now that I'd protected the paint on Blue Snaggletooth's feet...)
I dearly love Tuskens, Jawas, and the awesome Death Squad Commander! The DSC is my only reason for re-watching the dreadful SW Holiday Special. What a villain! They coulda given that stuffed Bantha to me!Comment

HA!! Those two are my all time fav vintage SW figures.
My brother and I bought two getts when he came out at TRU. This was pre-Empire and it had the black sticker on back for the offer.
I got the snaggletooth through a trade for an extra Fett.

I remember being really fond of the Tusken Raider. When I eventually saw the film, I was surprised at how small his part was.Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions

The first figure I got was an R2-D2 for my birthday in '78. I didn't have any other SW stuff until christmas that year, so I tucked him into the plastic Space Shuttle that I also got at the same time. (It had an Enterprise name sticker on it...) my other favorite was the Jawa, I must've lost at least 3-4 of 'em.Comment
