It was great to get previously unproduced characters like Huntress, Blue Beetle and Black Lightning in this line, as well as new characters such Zuriel, Impulse, Conner Hawke and Kyle Rayner. It's unfortunate that the poses and lack of articulation weren't so hot. I felt the same way about the sculpts and lack of posability with Secret Wars compared to Super Powers.

Have to agree about CA Wonder Woman as well.

The CAH get a bad rap from the lack of paint ops (the headsculpts save for early Wonder Woman have tons of detail) and a bad pose but they were some of the earliest action figures out there.

I'd say the worst are the toybiz DC heroes, taking the molds of some of the nicest figures produced (SuperPowers) and making them look like Mexican knockoffs. Way to take it down a notch, Toybiz.

Or what about the She Hulk figure that's just a (Lousy) Xena doll painted Green? The 10" figure of "The Spot"? Nice and phoned in with no detail.

I didn't even realize Toy Biz made an Aquaman! what is up with the green arms?

So many of those Toy Biz 10" figures suffered from using sculpts meant for the smaller toyline!

A complete lack of care I imagine. They also made a Hawkman and Green Lantern that all looked like they let themselves go. The Riddler in this line has a head the size of a baseball.

I had no idea they made half of these! I guess this was the short window before the Toy Biz Marvel figures arrived and Kenner grabbed back the DC guys? Or did they hold the DC and Marvel license simultaneously at one point?

I like that Aquaman,.. I dunno why, he just has some sorta Apeal to me. I guess it's because he is Aquaman.

I think it Funny the Two-Face's card art, as far as the color of his suit, doesn't match the paint Job on the figure.

& Green Lantern Shoots a "Water Jet Spray" Outta his Ring.

Man,.. these do look like Mexican K Nock-offs.

The artwork on the Riddler and Luthor cards bother me, the proportion is childish.

Wasn't there a Toy Biz Robin Hood figure(possibly for the Kevin Costner movie) that was a re-used Green Arrow? I recall my husband pointing that out at the flea market. Robin Hood was still wearing Ollie's "G" belt buckle.

Many of the 10 inchers were bad repaints. The 2 you mentioned are bad but the worst is the Ninja Ice Man that is a recast of Silver surfer with a packing peanut in his ninja hood.

The first series of Toy Biz heroes did use the Super Powers molds, so although they look far inferiour to the SPs, they are at least displayable, except for Lex and Bob the Goon who are built from scratch. Lex was based on his look from the then-already-cancelled Ruby Spears Superman animated series from 1988.

The second series of Aqauman, GL, Flash, Hawkman, Aquaman and Two-Face are just flat out horrible. Two-Face is holding a dime. A plastic, full-sized dime. What the???!!! Hawkman looks like he has a beer gut. The packaging is atrocious too. Those gold dots..yuck. Total Justice's overall look was bad and overdone, but they were at least well-made, and had decent packaging. DCSH by Toy Biz is the low of low of official Super Hero figures.

Believe it or not, that's Carmine Infantino, phoning it in. Without a strong inker like Murphy Anderson, Infantino's stuff tends to be almost abstract, esp in his later works.

So the guy who contributed much of DC's Mego packaging (or at least the inspiration for it) did those.

Not sure who did the second series packaging art. Looks a bit like Jim Aparo with Dick Giordano inks.

That was Kenner. Not only did they re-use Super Powers molds, they re-used Star Wars molds as well.
