Yeah, I remember the ads being on the back covers of the comics for a long time, too.

I also had the 3 issue DC mini series.

However, I never bought any of the figures.

Guys, I just noticed somthing...this may be fake. The countdown ends when the world is supposed to end because of the myans. I am not saying that is happening, but this may be some guy just goofing around. I also saw that there is a tm in the name, but no copyright at the bottom of the page.. Finally,to sum it up,I went to a website and found out that "Power Lords" hasn't been copyrighted since 1992,and for some odd reason for Bill and Ted. Any thoughts? http://cocatalog.loc.gov/cgi-bin/Pwe...&CNT=25&HIST=1

              The site has been updated.

The Four Horseman are bringing the Power Lords back as 3 3/4 inch scale glyos style figures. A little disappointing they won't be in the classic scale or style. No pics yet. The figures won't be shown until Feb. If they are gonna be another online exclusive, I'm gonna pass on them.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I'd rather just get the old ones

Yeah, the whole thing was pretty anticlimactic. A count down clock leading to what amounts to an announcement of an annoucement. We still don't even get to see what the figures look like for another couple of months.

                    That's exactly how I feel.
I am more than machine. More than man. More than a fusion of the two.

Several of those old ones can be quite difficult To find and then expensive when you do. Very unusual design for toys of the time. I think the visial will at least carry over. The 3 &3/4 resurgence is pretty great, as is the Glyos system. The peg sizes make them compatable with a lot of Microman / Micronauts, and the Outer-Space Men are great toys. The prices are high for most folks, but as I wrote, this stuff makes for really fun toys. Check it out if you get the chance.
