    New Power Lords toys?

    Anybody know anything about this?

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

      Found this on another site.

So, what’s happening? The original toys were developed by Barlowe in concert with two fellows named Ned Strongin and Len Mayem, who then brought the concept to Revell for production. Sadly, Mr. Strongin, who also co-invented the board game Connect 4, passed away last year. But a quick trademark search reveals that Jeanne Strongin and Michael Strongin of “Ned Strongin Creative Services,” applied for the trademark to the name Power Lords for “Collectable toy figures; Play sets for action figures; Toy action figures and accessories” back in May of this year.
It's not a doll it's an action figure.

Thank you for the info, megocrazy. That's very interesting. I hope these end up being mass market toys.

I don't know, as much as I loved the 80's ones because of nostalgia...They pretty much sucked back then (and that was an era when toys rocked) so why would this work now? Is there even that much of a fan base for these ? Don't get me wrong I liked them and still have a few now but I don't get it

New power lords?! I just found the main guy at a swap meet and suddently LOVE this line. The design of the villian is amzing!(This would make a graet Mego Meet exclusive, with a double sided head and suit! He would fit perfectly with the Pulsar and MMM if I had them!)

Power Lords were probably a bit ahead of there time. Great articulation and very interesting designs. But The good guys were creepier looking than most villians in other toy lines at the time.

Can't wait to see what the new ones look like.

Never heard of these, 1983 was past my prime toy buying years, but liked what I saw on Google images.

80s toys are kind of a passion of mine. I've never had any Power Lords toys but I've long admired their weirdness. But I've had the 84 Revell toy fair catalog that shows all the PL toys for ages. Not even sure all the stuff pictured was released. Like the huge Power Transporter vehicle and the Trap Rock and Exploder mini playsets.

I found this link googling Power Lords tonight. It shows all the released toys plus scans of the unreleased toys I mentioned.

I remember thinking they were kind of cool, but I was already knee-deep in too many toylines to get in another. It bothered me that you could see the other side of the guy's head the whole time too. I do know they seemed to buy advertising on the back of DC Comics for like 20 years it seemed.

same with me, 80's toys will always be my faves..I had a few when I was a kid..got them around 86 in the clearance bin at toys r us they were just super fragile right off the card, I remember their heads and arms breaking off by barely touching them..and yes the main chick and guy use to creep me out

Had Adam Power, but that was the only one. Mine was not fragile at all, had him it seemed for years.

DC did a comic, too. I loved these guys! Weird little monsters. I got a bunch on clearance too; back in the day. I would LOVE 8" scaled ones. (They've been a WAY back burner project of mine for a while.)
